Do breast implants become part of a ghost if the woman with them dies
Wednesday, 18-May-16 08:59:26 UTC from web- internetturtle, nicolasmaia and ragnarokangel and 3 others like this.
- Scribus repeated this.
-
@thelastgherkin In my personal headcannon both implants recombine to form a ball, and said ghost is hounted forever by a blobby, ballthing. Bonuspoints if the cause of death is a deadly dose of gamma radiation. Being haunted forever by a glowy ball of Doooooooooooooom

After looking at 8 rescue dogs and getting a puppy, who died after 2 days due to illness it got from mum, I am hoping to get guinea pigs.
-
@weerosie Inside, next to the couch overlooking the TV. I have many fond memories of giving pet-store-cracker-treats to my guinea-pig while slouching on the couch and watching cartoons. ... I do not think Dutch outside weather is really compattible with guinea-pigs if you want to pet them still. A problem which my Pigmy Rabbits did not seem to have at all. So it probably depends on the outside weather conditions a whole lot
-
@critialcloudkicker ... Ehmm, I meant the combination of weather conditions and kind/breed of animal.
-
@critialcloudkicker I'm planning on outside during the summer and inside for the winter, but to be inside in the evening for TV time. :)

Do you know the "suspense" when you find something on a consumer to consumer resale website ( I guess like Craigslist ), send out a message, and hope for the best ?
Tuesday, 17-May-16 09:32:48 UTC from web-
@critialcloudkicker Euch, I hate that feeling. Especially when after a couple of days you still get no reply...
-
@weerosie 7 minutes in order to reply, not bad. Turns out the person is still in school. ... I should have seen this coming, I am trying to buy a NERF blaster after all.

Oh hey, I am on-call again, I guess that means I could go to the gym, do some reading, do some sciency-stuff, try to fix my computer, or indulge more in my newest addiction which is called "Stardew Valley"
I guess we all know which one is going to win here.Tuesday, 17-May-16 09:07:27 UTC from web -
Today I set a record. A record for the worst way getting up. Immagine, both having to sneeze all the time, having a 7/10 headache, and having the fire alarm go off ( evacuate the building because some dumbass tried to make toast with pieces of mail, or something ) . So yay for me I guess.

@critialcloudkicker Oh that sounds awful! I hope your day gets better!

@weerosie Thank you :)

"Why are you starting Civ 5 again ?" ... Because I have a pathological hatred towards my free time
Saturday, 14-May-16 14:02:02 UTC from web-
@zennx Scripting error in the first game.
-
@mrmattimation Who's that?
-
@autunm @critialcloudkicker Civ 1 had a error on Ghandi. basically when you reach Democracy your aggression goes down by 2, Ghandi started with the lowest possible score of 1 (the maximum the game allowed was 10), but when Democracy happened the counter went 1->0->255, effectively looping the counter
so basically after Democracy, on a scale of 0 to 10 Ghandi was 255 of Pure Unchained NUCLEAR WRATH

Some video games have aged very well ( Chrono Trigger on the SNES for example, lets give that a 10/10 for now ). Some other games have aged terribly to the point where if you decide to play them now, they would cause you almost pain or distress ( Original Tomb Raider triology for example, lets give that a 1/10 for now )... I just saw a complete playthough of Medal of Honor Pacific Assault, and yeah, I am glad I did not actually bother to play further after mission 3 or so, that game does not have a good statisfying end at all ( it would get a 3/10 score from me ) I am glad I letsplayed the whole thing instead
Friday, 13-May-16 13:36:39 UTC from web-
@critialcloudkicker meanwhile I'm here playing dwarf fortress which I can only rate both a 1/10 and a 10/10
-
@zennx Yeah, Dwarf Fortress is like a civ-game. It goes from a 10 in your mind to a 5 as it kinda gets grindy, and then even hits 1 when Ghandi goes nuke-happy, and then you score victory, and the whole thing can begin anew.
-
@critialcloudkicker you can't win at Dwarf Fortress, either you get overrun by surface dwellers or you dig too deep and a Balrog eats your face
-
-
Did I ever mention that I abhore waiting rooms ? Even more so at the doctor's office. ... Though I can immagine that absolutely noone is fond of them.
-
@zennx Know what ? First I'll go read a book on the basics of chemistry and maybe somewhere this summer I'll put on a labcoat and do that. You know I will have absolutely catastrophically failed when you suddenly read about "Dutch wannabe scientist in lab-coat explodes half of the Netherlands"
-
@adiwan Ohyea, forgot about that and the whole Dutch "waterstofperoxidemuts" joke
-
@adiwan Which reminds me, I want to try using it to lighten my beard so that dye takes better.

I want some sort of Blue Screen of Death ( BSoD ) screensaver that needs a password to get out, only I want it to refer to the password as "credit card information"

@critialcloudkicker That would be ... something. Haha
-
@critialcloudkicker ....this... this is pure GOLD
-
-
Is cutting someone's neck for not stepping forward when the line moves considered excessive?
-
@scribus Not if you can get away with it
-
-
@adiwan any idea how he got a third person view of himself ? https://youtu.be/azD5t6X2urc?t=716
Wednesday, 11-May-16 12:39:07 UTC from web-
@critialcloudkicker I think that this is a view from another client and not from the player.
-
@adiwan Maybe the player can just change the perspective themselves.
-
@adiwan I'd look into it but I do not have a Vive
-
-
I had an Occulus Rift on my head for the first time. The resolution is horrible. The motion tracking was good. They tested a method for viewing objects and discovering volumetric data only with the head-mounted display. It worked pretty well but it had some flaws but were inevitable because they had to unify the interface for all sorts of different input devices.
-
@adiwan Sounds like a devkit Rift
-
@critialcloudkicker It was a DK2 model.
-
@adiwan Yeah, 960x1080 per eye is really rather low seen as the screen is maybe max 5 CM from your eyeballs. The real product has 1080 x 1200 resolution per eye. Do I still think that is too low ? Yeah, kinda, it still gives me a fly screen feeling. However, it sure is awesome tech. Now let us pray there will be good enough games for VR eventually. and not drive it to the point where I can pick up a Rift in the second hand market for less than 100 Euro within a year. ( or a scenario where Oculus and Vive and Morpheus beat eachother up untill noone wins )
-
-
Decentralization is hard, let's bet our money in cheap centralized networks! What could possibly go wrong?
-
@hfaust I am pretty sure that if you rely only on one form of network ( or system ) you run the risk of network ( or system ) degradation to the point where what you originally put into it is no longer ( deemed ) valuable ?
Are we talking about money ? Or the time spend in an MMO like WoW ? -
@critialcloudkicker It can also be a sole vector of attack, but you can apply that to money. I don't know much about MMO I'm afraid (only the things I've saw in anime)
-
@hfaust The MMO mindset I was talking about resolves soley around "If I stop playing after putting in 1000 hours to this game, I devalue that time I put into it into nothingness".
As for "vector of attack", I think that would be way too depending on what system we are talking about ?

What a bummer. I was certainly sure that my Arduino Uno was able to send keyboard commands over the USB port but I was wrong. Only later versions (Due, Leonardo, Micro, Zero) are able to do that.
Tuesday, 10-May-16 14:12:30 UTC from Choqok-
@adiwan I wanted the context of this dash to be about attempting to hack Uno the card game.
-
@critialcloudkicker If you buy Arduinos from China you can get them for a bargain price. As for projects I wanted to do: right now I'm just toying with it.
-
@thelastgherkin An Arduino Uno is a cheap micro controller. The later versions have the ability to act as human interface devices (mouse, keyboard) and I tried to do something with that. To my surprise (and lack of research) I didn't know that the Uno can't do that out-of-the-box.

What does "ill-fated" mean in a context of "the journey proved to be ill fated, ( lists of things that went bad ) . It leaves me to believe it is more luck related than fate related... Well unless if you consider things like diarhea to be a fate
Monday, 09-May-16 09:05:02 UTC from web-
@critialcloudkicker Something ill-fated is that was pre-destined to have a bad outcome.
-
@adiwan ... I can see that work in eye eyes of gamergaters when talking about Anita Sarkeesian and her visit to the UN. I can also see that working for that time city-hall decided to build a nuclear waste silo next to farmland. But I do not think I can see that work for one of my family-members describing a trip to one of her relatives whom she has a bit of a tough history with ( and, yeah, a hard head probably )

bacon stuffed crust pizza is so underwhelming and it is saddening
Saturday, 07-May-16 23:22:44 UTC from web-
@spots Why ? It is Bacon and it is Pizza crust, You would expect that 2 great things make an awesome thing

@critialcloudkicker it's bacon mixed in with cheese, and together these things taste closer to soap than any percentage of cheese and bacon flavor
-
@spots I understand :/

Skype is gradually removing all timestamps? Why would you do that
Saturday, 07-May-16 21:50:44 UTC from web-
@tiffany Why would they do it Tiff

@thelastgherkin probably because they needed to save at least one feature for skype premium

@thelastgherkin Because Microsoft loves bad desicions. And I would love for the time in the future when Discord takes over completely.

Saturday, 07-May-16 15:31:38 UTC from web-
@redenchilada What exactly is a hackathon ? I immagine something like several groups of people whom are smart with computers gathering around a device ( like a laptop ) that is running and connected though UTP to a network and the last group who manages to steal a JPG or something from target device gets to buy the beer for everyone... Howfar off am I ?

Does anybody know of a good !vegan podcast?
-
@critialcloudkicker Really enjoying that podcast. Thanks for the recommend. :)
-
@critialcloudkicker @weerosie Isn't Mindful Vegan that old fat guy that complains that Ben & Jerry's made non-dairy treats?
-
@c107 I think that was a person called grimes, or grimer, or grimed. Only reason I remember that is because the guy ranting to me about it while I listened to it like a mom listens to his 4 year old was because he was trying to clean off grimestains at the time. I might have made a joke at that expense. A bad joke, very bad joke. But what do you expect in a professional kitchen enviroment ? top grade comedy ? ( I only wish )
