  13. @thelastgherkin I think the mentality behind this is supposed to safeguard tests and whatnot from being cheated on since anyone can copy an answer but showcasing a process actively demonstrates understanding of the material. That being said, in my experience I've more often seen the "show your work" model abused by teachers when marking to dock marks off of students who don't arrive at an answer utilizing that teacher's specific process (so it's basically "my way or the highway" for lots of them). It's a difficult line to walk!
