@mrmattimation I assumed it'd be pretty much that when it came to actual gameplay. I wanted to give it a try before the pr disaster but with us$ hovering around ar$40 I can't throw $60 at something I won't play regularly, specially with exams and essays taking much of my time. Maybe if it ever goes for $20 I'll get a copy, provided they don't do "micro"transactions and other predatory crap.
How's the basebuilding? admittedly that's what I spent more time in Fallout 4 than anything else and the main appeal of 76 from the trailers to me was the idea of building forts that'd actually be attacked by thinking entities as opposed to mindless npcs that spawn inside your walls. Without npcs to drive a story and interesting quests, exploration, combat and building need to be very good to make it worth it. -
@ceruleanspark Huh. I would have expected you to have it pre-ordered knowing how you are about fallout. No time to focus on it?
I've been watching the circus too though and it has been great. They really want to beat Blizzard's mobile diablo in worst PR disaster of the year. -

Not sure if any of you have tried Dragalia Lost yet. Quite fun if you're into mobile games, it's basically Fate: Grand Order but with actual gameplay and passable dialogues you don't want to skip.

@mushi Well, it's unlikely it'll get to that point, the political climate is different now than it was decades ago when that stuff happened. At most they'll change the legislation a bit towards what they see as better, but it'd be extremely hard for any government to shift into a military dictatorship. Still, it does seem they're getting there without much thought into what they'll actually do once they're the government which is slightly more worrying. I'd say whether it ends up being an ok government or a disaster depends entirely on the ministers and advisors that they pick, and how they translate the concepts of "fight corruption" and "don't be communist" into practice. Responsible ministers would have more than enough room to work while individuals that just want to take advantage of the situation can also cause quite a bit of trouble if they say the right words to those above them.

@firestormdangerdash Oh, yeah. This is the original one, the one with the hawk is the SPC alt to talk with non-RDN people, and the one with the 2 is a bot that takeshi made in 2016 when he was making markov bots with the accounts of anyone who found it funny. It's basically rdnebooks but using my posts as a source.

Last one is a bit tricky to grab since the base game is F2P and the actual giveaway are the DLC. Solution is to go to the dlc pages and manually clicking install on each, they should show up on your library under the game's dlc box after that. -

@ceruleanspark Oh, you mean dzuk's blockchain that got passed around. The guy is infamous for being insane and adding literal parody posts to his list of "examples" of why sites should be blocked.
A month or so ago he got blocked out of his own instance due to poor security practices and blamed the hosting company for it, then restarted it from scratch with a different subdomain since he didn't know how to clear it either. He also had no backups whatsoever. -
@ceruleanspark Sounds like regular fedi magic. One day it works, the next it doesn't. It didn't even die at the same time servers were switched, if servers were switched when the avatars broke.
