@ellistia I have to animate and colour 3 full scenes and then edit them together with other people's scenes by Tuesday as well, and I don't think the other people have done almost any of their scenes.

I can't wait until the day that Adblock lets me get more in-depth when it comes to what sites I allow ads on or not. Being able to enable ads for specific Youtube or Twitch channels would be fantastic.

@ellistia The only option I see is to enable/disable adblock on the entire domain, so I'd get ads on every stream I watch.

@flamingpandaomg Seems to be a Chrome thing (I think you use that if I remember?) There really should be a way to do it but I can't work out how.

@ellistia I mainly use Torch now (still based off of Chromium) but I end up needing to use Chrome itself to use Chromecast, which irritates me.

As an alternative, at some point I'd like to try to just sit and try some traditional drawing before sleeping since I'm way out of practice and it's kind of relaxing I guess. If only I had some decent lighting in my room. And I don't think my phone's bright-ass torch is very suitable.

so my mum gave me this article to read about reducing stress and one of the first things I read about fixing sleep patterns is to do something relaxing for a couple of hours before sleeping and to also avoid computers/bright screens in this time and I already don't like this .-.

Also, "While you are working remove any distractions so you can concentrate". Not only have I read this 100 times before but my problem is all my work and distractions are in the same place. But I suppose that's where basic discipline is suppose to come in to it.

@ellistia animation requires some pretty specific abilities and is currently in demand, so an animator's time is worth a fair amount atm

over the easter break I have actually considered leaving my course because I can't deal with stress and instead just pretend the piling work doesn't exist. I told my mum about it tonight and it has been a hellish experience, but it seems I have come out of it with the decision to at least try and finish the course.

@scoot I have an assignment due in 11 hours that I haven't started, but thats partly because I just wasn't working on it because I was like "I quit". Fortunately I can submit it up to a week late and it'll be capped at 40%, and I think because of this whole thing I will have to do that for another assignment as well, but it should be alright I think. Also my second year has been a lot more painful overall than first year. Hopefully yours won't be as you seem to be able to sort your priorities better than me.

@ellistia Is it a complicated assignment? Also my priorities of late have been "I'd rather play Dreamcast", so I dunno how much better I have it to be honest. Being capped at 40% is pretty bad, but I guess it's better than 0%. I'm still only a first year so maybe I just have it easy, hence still having enthusiasm

@scoot They're nothing I'm not capable of, its just other stuff I can't really explain stopping me from doing them to my full potential. And to be honest I haven't been getting much better than 40% in my assignments this year anyway so it won't make much of a difference. My enthusiasm has definitely dropped since the start of second year, and thinking about it now, one of the main reasons for that is probably living at home rather than on campus, i.e. the completely wrong environment, on top of assignments piling up much more violently than first year.

@ellistia Yeah, I was super surprised when I looked at the headstock and saw "FENDER" written on it. It sounds amazing. I can't find one for under a £100 so I definitely lucked out. Now I wish I was a /good/ guitarist

@scoot I wish I could have gotten better than a Squier Bullet and the cheapest amp my mum could find on amazon. All pretty cheap sounding. I might have been more eager to learn otherwise.
