@polarbeariii A more practical translation would be like "Under god, the ways of the old warrior are one with the new." It's not proper Japanese, it was lifted from the Last Samurai, it essentially was saying that a warrior with great will power and courage would always triumph over a weak warrior with fancy weapons.

@polarbeariii I actually quite like that, kudo's on your choices. I was going in expecting some heterochromia stuff and bright orange and blue or maybe green hues overall. I guess I spilled the beans on what I find very offputting here. You can blame the local fursuiters for that one.

@critialcloudkicker I don't mind aggressive bright colors on suits, but only if it's a small amount. One of the guys here has a grey and black dog with neon green markings and it looks cool, if the whole suit was neon green I would probably put him down.

So, question for people who believe in an afterlife. How do you get there? I mean, I know that step one is "Die", but after that. Does your vision just fade to black and then you wake up in Valhalla or whatever? Or is there a montage type sequence that makes it clear that you're dead? What I'm wondering really is: Are the various afterlives full of people who have no idea where they are or why?

@mrmattimation In the Netherlands you are pretty much allowed to do what you want to do, as long as there are at least 2 of the 3 parts bright-alarm-orange. "Muzzle" "slide" "magazine, clip, or feeding mechanism". Also the muzzle should be comically sized... Pretty sure those laws are pretty much universally the same in the western world.

@mrmattimation I was at a costume shop in LA that rented prop guns. They had a sign that said something about needing a license or some kind of proof of legitimate film making or the like in order to rent one. No idea about making your own, though.
