wow... has it really been two years since the last time i was on here... ouch...

Trying so hard to get thins in order for when Mike comes everything just keeps going wrong at once. Like last night the toilet overflowed and now the carpet is completely ruined and it won't dry. I cad't keep dealing with all this. I feel like I'm crumbling under all this extra pressure and stress and nothing wants to go right!!!!

Honestly I'm with Matt on this one. If a show takes 25 episodes to get good, and is hit and miss from their, I generally won't enjoy it.
I know people make that argument about Breaking Bad, that it takes a full season to go from mediocre to good, but I disagree there. Watched The Road. I really liked it, pretty much on par with No Country for Old Men as far as an adaptation to McCarthy's books goes. They took a bit more creative license however in The Road which goes for the better in some aspects, as the book is quite oppressive. Definitely I recommend it if you're a fan of Cormac McCarthy or a fan of post-apocalyptia.

@awl my opinion of the movie was always that it was as good as it could have bee . In that sense, it's like a perfect adaptation of the book. The creative license honestly felt necessary at a lot of points. The Road is not the type of book that would seamlessly and perfectly translate into a movie, so they had to work with it a bit.

@awl None at all. It's simply the stripped blade and it's sheath. I'll get a pic at some point. All that passes as a "handle" is a trigger-shaped piece of steel with a screw at the tip.

@oracle It's by no means unhealthy. They take such a small amount that it barely affects your body, aside from maybe a touch of light-headedness afterwards. Having a needle stuck into your arm is not bad for you, since the needles are fine and sterile, the wound heals almost instantly. Good idea? Well, aside from the moral implication of potentially saving lives, you're getting paid to sit in a chair and do nothing for a bit so yeah, I'd say it's a good idea.

is it a good idea, depends, pretty sure blood and plasma only have a shelf life of a few months so hospitals always need more.
Just don't do it after a disaster happens, after one occurs people flock en-masse to donate, and they get over-stocked and most of it isn't used and goes in the trash after it expires
