            • *brainfart* ... So when Gamespy shut down in 2014 along went a lot of game-lobbies and game-servers for a TON of games, including a truckload of Wii and DS(i) titles, maybe even a WiiU or 3DS game somewhere. But in the future, we, the consumer, will have to pay for Nintendo themselves to uphold these servers ? ... Why does this bug me so much ? ... How did Gamespy even make money ?

            • I just saw a movie theory that linked the movie Zootopia to the whole Contra & FBI & drug epidemic from the history books. And all I have to say is ... WHAT ?!? ... Howmuch conspiracy kool-aid must you drink before you make outrageous jumps like that ( which are, to be honest, not even researched well since the original Zootopia was all about Jack Savage and Shock Collars )

              • @oracle Okay a few other things. First off, even if I don't necessarily agree with any sort of Islamic registry or ban on Islamic immigration, I don't personally count those ideas as racist. They're more of an excessive reaction to an admittedly real threat.

There is no absolute, conclusive evidence of Trump being a racist, I can admit that. A lot of it is quotes like this one from his announcement speech:

“When Mexico sends its people, they’re not sending their best. They’re not sending you. They’re not sending you. They’re sending people that have lots of problems, and they’re bringing those problems with us. They’re bringing drugs. They’re bringing crime. They’re rapists. And some, I assume, are good people.” Whether this one is racist or not is highly debatable, and again comes down to personal opinions and definition. Of course the headline that usually comes with this quote is "Trump believes that Mexicans are rapist by default" Which builds the "Trump is racist" mindset.

              • @actualrudolph I'm trying to glorify him or anything. He isn't a very likeable person, and his views are out there. "There is no absolute, conclusive evidence of Trump being a racist, I can admit that." I guess that's all I wanting to hear. I personally think racism is a serious thing, and to call someone a racist is a serious thing. Too often today we throw it around willy nilly

              • @oracle Most of the cases of him being racist are alleged, second-hand reports. Personally, it's not hard for me to believe he said those things, but that's opinion, not fact. More-or-less, my stance on this is "Donald Trump could be a racist" and that's about it. I have my fair share of issues with Trump, and there are a lot of genuine reasons to dislike him, and the racism feels overplayed.

                          • Barack Obama quoted Atticus Finch, which apparently means it's okay to like Atticus Finch again. There are so many things wrong with this.

Okay first off, there's the obvious fact that Obama quoting the man doesn't absolve his apparent crimes. The president cannot pardon someone of public opinion. If you found Finch's behavior in Go Set a Watchman to be gross, then it still is, and Obama's casual quoting changes nothing.

Also, Atticus Finch is not a racist. Go Set a Watchman never happened. It was published after Harper Lee's death, she had chosen not to publish it. People who don't know the full story may think it was an unpublished sequel. Really it was more of a rough draft. To Kill a Mockingbird is the proper, canon story. Go Set a Watchman was only released as a sort of exploration of the author (and a shameless cash grab).

                              • @m14brony Politicians lie. liars lie. and people with skeletons in their closets most surely are an expert at lies. And last election cycle I did simply not see anyone who would not do something other than that. And I followed the election probably more closely than even Joe Average American, I found it enticing. What continues to surprise me however is that anyone is still surprised by what has now been reduced to 'gimmicks' such as using an opportunistic campain slogan and tweak and fiddle with it till you have something that works.

Will anything ground-shattering ever happen with the wall and Mexico ? Nah, I doubt it, Secure Fence Act of 2006. Most interesting stuff already has been done by some other Republican methinks

Once the American President elect touches Obamacare though, that is where I think the puppets will REALLY start to dance.
