@thelastgherkin Pretty good. Been kind of busy lately. Been thinking about moving away from my home state sometime soon. Should be exciting if I can ever get around to getting hired somewhere else.

I should keep an eye on that one. Heck I might even order just exactly that should I ever find myself in a woodworking classroom or similar.Wednesday, 14-Jun-17 12:37:13 UTC from web -
I just lost about 90% of all my active brain cells due to watching https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tRswMvjlMp4 . But it is ohkay, they will regenerate. In the very least I hope @mushi will be able to tell me that that one guy won't be able to poop correctly for a week or so due to him putting quite a lot of gallium in his mouth.
Sunday, 11-Jun-17 17:29:30 UTC from web-
@critialcloudkicker The biggest danger with galium is that it expands when it solidifies, with can create sharp sards of metal, but it will not solidify at body temperature, so it might go straight through his body.
I wouldnt recomend it though -
@mushi Yes, I know. Gallium has amazing/fun thermodynamic properties. However I am more interested in it's toxicity on humans

I wish we had a Lord Buckethead in our parliament.

@adiwan "[someone] called this [political statue] about [something], had we heard what he/she plans do to about [something], no ! ... It will be a cherryshow ... and there'll be times you think 'oh my god we got it wrong' ... This is an intelectually absurd situation". I am 100% certain that every parliament can use someone like that.

Today I learned that "Homeowner" has the word "meow" in it. Think of this next time you are going to pronounce it and I can almost guarantee you'll do it wrong.

I finally watched WatchMen ( the movie ). I found Dr Manhattan to be a bigger dick than Rorschach thoughout the entire movie. I can recommend the movie though. Primarily for the cool scenes, not for the story.

So today I got up feeling weird. So I just went and took some R'n'R by reading an X-men comic book. And then my calvanistic goggles kicked into overdrive. ALL YOU MUTANTS ARE DICKS ! No, seriously, about 50% of them are straight up evil and the others try to stop them ? kinda ? Or they are just left alone ? Seriously go do something productive, all of you, Jean & Xavier please go force some panda's to reproduce. Magneto and Cyclops go to some sort of power plant for neigh infinite power. Storm go help people around the globe in securing food ( especially Africa ). Ice-Man go build yourself many MANY beautiful statues made of ice on the poles and end global warming or something **sigh** ... don't mind me, I just needed to vent

@zennx an immortal being with build in night vision, echolocation, superhuman speed and agility ? Idunno, just put her in search and rescue when needed. And when not needed I am pretty sure she'd make a very ecology and economy friendly lighthouse.

My mother bought me an English black tea with a cream flavour. There were price tags on it so she mistakenly assumed it was Earl Grey. I tasted it nonetheless and it was one of the most disgusting types of tea I drank. The cream flavor had a hint of vanilla. Furthermore the tea was bitter as hell.... blegh.

Can someone explain to me what is so great about Bob's Burgers ? Because I just do not get it.
Monday, 17-Apr-17 14:04:42 UTC from web-
@critialcloudkicker Personally I enjoy it because the writing does a great job of capturing the subtle nuances of genuine conversation, as if they're real people talking and responding to each other. Also it has some really clever plays on words at times
-
@tiffany It does ? It sounds to me like they are emotionally dulled all the time, except the spooky house episode I saw. Also that one episode where they competed on Family Fracas. But in that episode they just did dumb stuff I would expect out of a "Barney Stinson / How I met Your Mother" rejected-wastebin involving a Judge Judy and finished the episode by having Bob repair the winner's car's tire while his hole family berates him. It effectively makes me seriously dislike the story, the people in the story, and the conversations that occur. ... Am I going about this wrong or something ?
-
@critialcloudkicker nah I can understand how it's not for everybody

So is it just me or is Facebook getting even SJWier than Tumblr?
Saturday, 01-Apr-17 16:40:53 UTC from web-
@scribus By noticing that I guess you are the correct person for me to ask you "Do you think it is safe to even make a Facebook account ?". I heard stories of circles of friends breaking up because of that stuff. Combined with the fact that I work in the healthcare sector I never even bothered with Facebook
-
@critialcloudkicker if Facebook is all it takes to break a friendship then it wasn't very solid to begin with, that or Gary needs to stop spamming his friends with Farmville invites...
-
@critialcloudkicker Safe? Probably, as long as you behave yourself. Worth it? No. If you don't have one by now, you don't need one.

Looks like future Stardock games may come to Linux thanks to Vulkan. Personally, I'm still a little salty they sold Impulse to GameStop; that place had potential.
https://gs.smuglo.li/url/342026-
@dolus Yeap, too bad Stardock is based in Ann Arbor so there was no way they could keep up with the demand in needed manpower after Stardock exploded somewhere back in 2010. Then again I would rather look towards the future and go "WOO ! Vulkan ! More Linux games !"
-
@critialcloudkicker It's still a maybe at this point... but it does show how much OpenGL was holding Linux back, gaming-wise.

twitch ads are the worst because it forces you to miss like 60 seconds of the stream which is unlike pretty much any other commercial
Tuesday, 07-Mar-17 18:07:24 UTC from web-
@critialcloudkicker As I keep saying, I don't expect an ad-free experience
-
@tiffany I can not find that when I press the in context button. I hope you were not expecting me to know that you were not expecting an ad-free experience.
-
@critialcloudkicker Dude, many sites have ads, but twitch forces you to stop watching the vid and look at ladies' razor blades for 30s
why not just have an always on silent add on top of the chat, or something like that
