@scribus Oof, remember how the CHECHA[xx] and CHECKB[xx] Playstation 3 models have Playstation 2 compattibility by hardware support.
And then the CHECHC[xx] and CHECHE[xx] try to achieve the same thing ( poorly ) by partial software emulation on the PS3's part
And then from the CHECHG[xx] versions onwards Sony went like "Ahh, noone is going to miss that anyway"
And then the OtherOS kerfuffle that only got resolved in some class action lawsuit in 2018 ?
Backwards compattibility really is quite like a fanged animal, with teeth, pretending to be a treasure chest. -
@scribus The season also had a weird number of episodes. It's hard to count because this season had more specials and multi-parters than usual, but CN seems to consider every 11 minute segment an "episode" (meaning half-hour shows are two episodes, and the hour-long finale was four episodes), which leaves us at 32 episodes instead of the usual 26. The movie is likely being produced as if it were seven or eight separate episodes of the show, as the Regular Show movie was, so if you count that and add the fourth broadcast season, it'd bring us to 65 shows in the production season. There probably WAS a sixth season ordered, and instead they extended the fifth season and produced a movie (which is similar to what Regular Show did with its sixth season, it was supposed to be 40 episodes but it only ended up being 32 and the remaining 8 were used to make the movie).

@scribus PROBABLY show's over? The episode resolved pretty much every hanging plot thread the show had (albeit in some cases a bit too quickly, the last five minutes especially seemed hella rushed) and the only thing SU-related on Cartoon Network's schedule as of now is the movie, which is getting released this fall. No sixth season renewal was announced. Pretty sure the show's done
-
@scribus Season finale for sure although it felt like a series finale. If there will be another season I cannot tell. However there was a TV movie announced.

@scribus Looks almost like my room.

@scribus it’s likely less than 6 degrees nowadays. Probably was before too
-
@scribus yeah, it's become the new MLB in that i actually don't like working on it very much, but it's inches away from being done so i might as well finish it up.
-
@scribus Nah, equal rights amendment. (Removes distinctions between men and women in law, divorce, etc.) In theory I assumed it’d have bipartisan support because no distinctions means no “unfair” laws biased against men in, say, child support decisions. In practice, it’s a different story, I guess.

@scribus “Fix the TSA” is one thing I back Trump on. They are such a mess.
-
@scribus He does have a point though, considering how even saying "I'm proud to be white" gets the mob after you.
-
@scribus I don't know about other denominations, but in catholic churches you can just walk in with a bottle of water and ask for it to be blessed. Grandmothers do that all the time.

@scribus Honestly I think if mine was going to dry up, it would have when the administration declined to renew the visa of an employee of my mother's. That was probably the lowest point for me personally.
-
@scribus I would if I weren't at work when that happened. All I could was calling the hotline of Deutsche Post and exhale frustrated words and endure the awful music of the waiting queue.

@scribus As Carcino would have said (rest in peace)
MORTAL KOMBAT -
@scribus Scribus, online, with a dictionary. Did I win this game of Cluedo ?
-
@scribus Ever seen the movie Speed ( 1994 ) ? 2019 feels like a 2018 like how a remake of that movie would feel like compared to the original. Meaning the bus is new and I can probably charge my phone on one of those window side USB plugs, which is nice.
-
@scribus well, i was the designated driver tonight, so you might want to ask somebody who actually enjoyed himself
-
@scribus That shouldn't be an issue at all, AFAIK that only concerns prostitution. And considering no one has closed down god damn switter yet...
You could host in some other country too. -
@scribus I see you discovered mastodon't

@scribus Virginia is just so expensive, the taxes are so high, and the wages are so low, plus Jeff Bezos is dropping his new headquarters here, so I feel like if I stay for much longer my options will be to live with my parents until I’m thirty or work 48 hour work weeks just to pay rent. At the very least I need to get out of the DC area.
-
@scribus I had actually been making plans to move to Colorado for the last year or so, maybe I can be a part of both
-
@scribus Thanks! I overwork myself. If I didn't everything would crumble away with missing deadlines and such. Also I cannot think not of my work after work (thinking about particular problems), which is also super draining.
-
@scribus I'm somewhat disappointed that it doesn't transform into a snowman.
-
@scribus Upon review, it may have been delayed for no good gorram reason, instead!

@scribus lord knows i'm trying to

@scribus Well... I tested some "dirt cheap" mattresses for about 60€ and they instantly felt like a piece of brick. The one I got initially costed 444€ but due to Winter sales I got it half that price. Because of my bed size I bought it twice. The feel in quality was huge between the cheap mattresses and this one. However a 1000€ mattress was toooo soft for my liking (and way too expensive).
