  6. @mrmattimation @scribus As much as I hate Pickle Rick it is a better written version of the season finale so it has that going for it

  7. @scribus The episode itself was a poor execution but I really like the idea of taking an extremely capable and competent character and completely stripping him of his ability to do anything useful for an entire episode.

    1) it's icky and stinky,
    2) their ripped-out innards will only pollute unnecessarily the environment,
    3) think of the other workers that will lose their jobs,
    4) it's a tad unethical to claim their bodies only for oneself

  9. @scribus At my job I work 120% of my time this year and yet I'm stuck in 3 projects at the same time right now, and 17 of 30 days of vacation not spent yet.

  10. @scribus There is an open Toys R Us just a kilometer away from my home. I'll do it for you.

  11. @scribus No. I'd design it in a CAD program first and then try building it myself after buying the wood. I have a small circular saw and a jigsaw. How hard could that be?

  12. @scribus It's all fine. It's functional. Nothing broke. The furniture in question is a bed. It's just that the type of joining the pieces together and the amount of material is improvable. I'll probably buy something better in the next year. Or if it is possible I design something myself and see how expensive it'd be.

  13. @scribus Not to say I'm anti-cold, or anti-energy-conservation; I just shouldn't need to wear my boots and a coat indoors when I can wear shorts and sandals outdoors.

  14. @scribus Local furniture franchise. Mömax. I bought a bed that looked good and it was relatively cheap. The cheapness came through while assembling.

  16. @scribus Tragic! Very tragic. That's one of my favorite NES games. It's so good that I have it twice! The one with Mike Tyson and the other with Mr Dream. Only Road Fighter is slightly above that but more for nostalgic reasons than for its gameplay (because it is very flawed). I played it on a clone Famicom at my grandparent's when I was young.

  19. @scribus I left years ago due to needing to focus less on complaining about how bad my home life was, sitting in the echo chamber of angst, and working to get myself out and be free as an adult should be. 21 years old, working full time, 1000 miles away from the chaos I lived in.

  20. @scribus Boring things like those metal strips at the floor in the door frame for transitioning the floor from one room to another. Bought a few and due to my very wavy floor and the perfect straightness of the metal strips you can see huge gaps of 3mm between the strip and the floor. They weren't that cheap (about 20€ a piece). Luckily I had only bought two of them. Now I have to buy more flexible ones but these have to be screwed instead of being clipped.

  21. @scribus ... and fake your death. Maybe that would be too extreme.

  22. @scribus You'll need to make a party on your own, not inviting any of your room mates. If you're lazy you can just send them away, make a huge (or managable) mess on your own, and say that you had a party, with hookers and blackjack.

  24. @scribus Chinese uses no alphabet, it uses logograms. You cannot by definition of pangram create one with this language.

  30. @scribus At least the lens flares were authentic. People criticise it but fail to realize that olds Star Trek films were littered with lens flares.
