@adiwan So damn artsy
-
Aaannd I now own an 8mm camera from 1962. Just $70 for 3 minutes of black-and-white footage!
-
@zeldatra Which still beats the tweet my friend saw warn against putting it in plastic bags
-
@zeldatra Back in the 70s my Grandpa filled his F-150 up, then siphoned from it into his motorcycle.

So the horse that won the Kentucky Derby failed a drug test. It's the fifth horse under this trainer to test positive in the last year. The trainer claims not to use any of these drugs on his horses, and that he (and his horses) are being wronged! I smell a Scooby-Doo setup here.

@adiwan lol
-
@adiwan English is great for fiction because it has so many made-up words
-
@zeldatra Good to hear it
-
@zeldatra Feeling any better today?
-
Curse words... Had an idea, went to my drafts - took a minute to check if it was already in there. Then, forgot my idea. /shrug

@oracle Sounds more straightforward than Meetup.
-
@oracle Interesting...
-
@zeldatra Nice! I keep threatening to spend my tax return on a cel from the Fritz scene in Wizards one year
-
@adiwan That one looks pretty good, yeah
-
@zeldatra The big question is, will it be a Coke or a Pepsi tie-in?
-
@adiwan If they need clothes, then they must have a sexy body to hide. If they don't have the weird lizard boobs, then why wear clothes? (I guess is what the reasoning looks like)
-
Well my Sims had a baby, so I'm probably never going back to that save file now

Tiger Queen launching a cryptocurrency, inb4 the next Fallout launches with "bottlEcaps" crypto tie-in
-
@zeldatra OK now I can't grok how cels aren't supposed to be reusable, if anything it seems obviously and imminently reusable
-
But my grandpa died, and Grandma is cleaning out his stuff (which included losing lottery tickets back to 1991 and paystubs from the 1950s), and there's old 8mm of my godfather in Saigon, or my mom as a kid on her unicycle, which we aim to get transferred. And there's the old cameras... can't seem to find the damn projector, though. Anyway, it's tempting to shoot some Christmas 2021 or whatever and have it transferred with the rest. Maybe shoot a music video for a friend or something fun, just to derp around with it.

@zeldatra OK I need to confess, I still have yet to successfully wrap my head around how, exactly, the audience would even know if an exact replica were achieved by copy-paste or by redrawing...
-
@zeldatra Look, contrary to willfully ignorant opinion, I only get one vote, it can only do so much!!
-
@zeldatra The villainous misuse of military power is pretty timeless, at least
-
Finally got around to "Sonic the Hedgehog." I bet that isolation montage at the beginning hit a little different fourteen months ago.
-
@zeldatra I wonder if they own Shake & Bake so they didn't bother?
-
@zeldatra I remember VHS tracking bars in the DVD of "Meet the Feebles," and my "Mothra" DVD only fills half the screen and looks like an 18 FPS framerate, but that is something else, lol
-
@zeldatra I hear Jeff Bezos is working on training the really good climbers so that he can make his warehouses taller
-
@scribus Holy chrome, I cannot believe I finally located the answer
