@scribus Sorry about that. :(

@imhiggins Your profile link smells like spam.

@drinkingpony I don't know enough about them to say, but I would be concerned about them being prone to allowing gunk to grow on food more easily and breaking down on the shelves. That would be a terrifying mess.

I was playing through the C64 version of VVVVVV and I found a hidden area that I completely missed in the main version. Also, the C64 version plays much better on a real system than in an emulator. I'm not sure if it's the giant joystick or what.

C64 logging into the internet. No robot falling down the stairs noises included. http://rainbowdash.net/url/874959

@adiwan Genuinely looking forward to it. It reminds me of when I saw the stage production when I was younger.
-
@adiwan I'm actually pretty excited about it.

@drinkingpony No packaging is best packaging, but it's not always realistic. Shopping bags are the least of the problems when half of the products you buy regularly are in plastic containers. Beauty and hygiene products are the worst, like tampons with plastic applicators, cheap disposable razors (because people are afraid of safety razors for some reason), makeup containers with "free" (garbage) sponges and mirrors and pretty much every soap and shampoo bottle. I wish there was a vending system for soaps. Food is a whole different problem due to health and safety concerns and doesn't seem completely solvable. Plastic is one of the best ways to preserve perishables.
-
@mrmattimation Recycling plastic is bad because it's a dead-end product and gives the public the illusion that using it can be consequence-free. Each time it's recycled it degrades more and more until it's useless. Recycling paper is bad because paper biodegrades pretty well and more recycling discourages tree replanting. Don't know about aluminum and glass. I thought those are okay.

What the zoobidey flip-flop-bop did you just say about me, you flippidy zoob woobity? I'll have you know I zooped and flooped to the top of my class in the zobbler wobbler, and I've rop-wop-flopped in numerous shoobidy doobidies on floppity pudding, and I have over 300 shibbidy bops. I am trained in flap-floppities and I'm the top doober in the entire shibbidy. You are nothing to zoobidy-me but just another zoobidy. I will zoop you the blop out with precision the likes of which has never been seen before on this floobidy Earth, mark my flibbidy flop. You think you can flop away with zoobing that doobie-woobie to me over the Interzoobies? Think again, flap-flopper. As we speak I am zipping my blopping bloop of flobbidies across the boopidy and your floopidy is being flopped right now so you better poopidy for the big zoobidy flop party, son. You're jeeber zeebered, son. http://ur1.ca/awxj1

You know how when you play a video on your PC your music player pauses so you can hear the video? It's great.

While we're nostalging, here's a snapshot of popular from 2013, a time when archive.org in it's infinite wisdom took the most snapshots. Honestly the fact that it takes ANY snapshots of this site blows my mind. Always wondered how they did that. http://rainbowdash.net/url/874947

@drinkingpony There is no future. The world becomes suffocated by pollution in 2050.

@nerthos Electricity-eating fungi honestly sounds like something from science fiction.

Vehicle registration in California is expensive. I tried to calculate what it would be without penalties and it's still over $100. Pennsylvania it's only like $30 or so.

ChromeOS added device forwarding to the VM in the last update. That was pretty much the only feature missing from the VM.
-
@thismightbeauser One idea is to allow users over a certain age (maybe three weeks) to vote to hide users under a certain age (maybe one week). Three or so votes wins.
-
@drinkingpony It's not nearly as bad as it was since the site blocks posts with links in it via a plugin. Most bots have links in their posts so it only lets manual posters through, which is pretty hilarious in a way, that there's someone out there making these posts manually. (Time between the first and second post: 5 seconds. Time between the second and third: 2 seconds)

@malpchjye "There are women; who are not blessed with a perfect curve from the God; they may feel low at confidence and awkward too, and they may tend to hide this imperfection of their bodily beauty by wearing baggy and loose clothes."

@adiwan I guess being shunned has put me out of practice with fixing family computer problems.
-
@adiwan Desktop Linux distros are fine but after a while but I got tired of FrankerZing with them. I'd rather use my computer to make stuff than have tinkering with it be an end unto itself, because it makes me crazy.
-
@adiwan That's nice for you, but we were talking about a Mom. I actually have a Chromebook for my tech self though and it's serviceable. It's easy enough to tear apart if you want to, but even staying inside the framework that Google has set up gets you pretty far since it can run Linux, Android, and ChromeOS.
