@toksyuryel Video editing is still somewhat behind, and audio editing as well I suppose. It's just a matter of popularity at this point, yeah. More popularity will bring more software which will fix this issue as well.

@toksyuryel Words change meaning over time. Even though the term marriage was originally a religious term, it barely has any religious roots any longer here. As a rather extreme and basic example, the furry term "yiff" changed from a friendly greeting to a term to describe sexual events with and nobody will really think of the old term anymore. Changing a word which has been used for so long will be quite hard, so it's more likely the definition will just slightly change over time.

@toksyuryel Our marriages are done by the government. The church can also do "marriages", but they aren't officially recognised. I guess I kinda get what you mean, but right now our version of "marriage" is pretty much just two people writing their signature on a piece of paper and the government writing them down as a registered couple in their administration.

@toksyuryel I hope soon. Church and state is already completely separated in The Netherlands. We were also the first country to legalise same-sex marriage, as far as I know. Even though our economy may not be the best right now (but let's be honest, whose economy is?), I am fairly proud of this country I live in.

I don't want to suffer like this the rest of my life, though, and please don't take me "declining" your help as an insult because I'm merely being dominated by fear right now and I don't want you to become angry or yell at me or hate me even though I've never really seen you angry... v.v

@toksyuryel I think I shouldn't have bought games anyway. I don't like games that much, music is my thing. I was just thinking that I might be good to have something to keep me busy while my owner is gone for most of the next week again and... sobbs Why do I even feel so guilty about this in the first place? It doesn't make any sense to feel guilty! Grr, I hate myself... T_T

@toksyuryel Well, that is slightly worrisome news but, seeing how VALVe clearly stated that they do not want to be part of closed platforms it would make sense for them to use more "standard" libraries. And even if they don't, those tools will probably be hacked until they work everywhere again. Still, doing nothing but swearing at VALVe for not supporting OpenSUSE/Arch/Mandriva/Debian/etc. isn't going to fix everything, especially because the client runs everywhere just fine and VALVe officially stated they are looking into possibly supporting other distributions as well.

@toksyuryel At the bottom there's an option to display a "test video", which used to be overlayed with things like which youtube edge-cache you were hitting and what your real time transfer rates were. That's not working for me here though, so maybe they've done away with it.

@toksyuryel I kinda enjoyed Eragon, but halfway through Eldest I just got so bored of all the talking that I stopped halfway through. I forced myself to finish it six months later to justify starting it and hardly enjoyed it, and I didn't even try to read the next one.
