  1. @getacutiemark It doesn't seem like a rich person store, but it depends on the location. I live in a suburb 30 minutes away from Chicago, and we have several stores in the city and a couple are hoity toity, and some are just ghetto. Like I said, ours straddles the borders of several communities so we get a mixed bag, but I've seen plenty of people in very expensive suits/jeans/outfits that walk around like God made the earth for them to rule over with their fat wallets. The best term I can think of without being overly rude is persnickety.

  2. @getacutiemark I'm more of a serious tea guy, but really the two aren't that far apart. I used to hold regular tea parties with friends where we'd brew, taste, and discuss the tea presented at the party, then we'd have a raffle to see who won the night's tea selection.

  3. @macpony55 I know some people who roast their own beans if you're interested lol I know some serious coffee folks ^_^

  4. @getacutiemark lol more often than not it's mom central at my store. Either that or severely undereducated overweight people shopping for impossible diets their personal trainer sent them there for. Unfortunately my store straddles the line of rich/poor communities so we get a mixed bag of people who have no clue what they're shopping for.

  5. @macpony55 well kudos to you! lol I definitely know I've got "young person" taste. I usually drink Yerba Mate tea. It's a naturally strongly caffeinated tea from Brazil that carries a lot of other trace nutrients that are good for you, and the caffeine molecules are different in which they work both muscles in the heart and are "slow release" and you get more of the energetic feeling for longer than coffee

  6. @getacutiemark Whole Foods is a top 100 company (to work for) and yeah... we have a lot of "uncommon" foods, but it seems like we're trying to figure out our target market way too much and not just sticking to one thing. One minute we're just a regular grocery store with organic goods, and the next we're supposed to be some kind of healthy eating only supermarket.

  7. @colfax I have to, at the very least milk and sugar... but to drink it just straight... that's difficult.

  10. @yodelerty I work at a Whole Foods, so I can get good coffee to brew at home... but alas, no white chocolate syrup, that's the real thorn in my flank

  11. @yodelerty I'd assume so as with any chain. Starbucks doesn't get a lot of love these days from most people a I know, the whole "they burn their beans" thing. I work with a buncha snobs lol

Monday, 30-Jan-12 03:27:30 UTC from web in context
  26. @yodelerty Cheerilee is getting drunk before grocery shopping again, I see it all the time.
