@nightmarenarwhal @bonesbones I like the way you express yourself and your opinion... it's so refined. Like a philosopher! :) Very nice.
-
@bonesbones @nightmarenarwhal okay, of course I understand that, tastes differ. I didn't mean to be rude, it was more like a joke. Sorry! :)
-
@bonesbones I understand why SAO is popular and why people like it, and it certainly has its place amidst the modern ethos of anime (hell, it's profitable series like SAO that keep the industry alive) but as someone who really likes the anime medium I'm bound to have my own weighted critical priorities of evaluation and a show like SAO really doesn't align with them.

@nightmarenarwhal @bonesbones what's wrong with SAO? :-P :-) Kirito-kun is cool! ;)
-
@bonesbones Yeah me too, I'm agreeing with you is all.
-
@bonesbones Oh I have lots of friends who enjoy SAO, and it's totally fine if you watch it, I just wanted to make a joke and I like being cynical and batcaveting on it cause I personally don't like it
-
@bonesbones That makes sense. I only did 2 playthroughs of BL2, with my main character, and a played a few other characters for a bit though not really far.
-
@bonesbones I did finish SR2 with AT LEAST 95% completion, and the secret missions. I kept 3 just to have a casual sandbox game around. I have a hard time with BL1 as well, even though I've played 2 a LOT. I didn't get much farther than rakk hive in 1.
-
@bonesbones It's a good choice. Likely the only reason I still have 3 installed and not 2 is because I played 3 first so 2 seemed really aged. I'm sure if I had played them in order as they came out, 2 would be my favourite. I'd like to try 1 too, but it's impossible as there's no PC port.
-
@bonesbones I played all three of them in a row, first 3 since someone gifted me a copy, then 2, then 4 at release. 3 is a solid game, and is made much better if you add a mission replay mod. 2 has the most compelling and lengthly story of all, as well as the most options on what to do and how, though the actual gameplay is a bit aged. 4 is REALLY fun the first time you run through it, but out of the three is the one that misses it's charm the fastest. Once you finish it it's hard to want to play anymore, and things like vehicles feel useless. Technically though each is a direct improvement from the ones before, and I'd honestly like to play 2 in the engine of 4.
-
@bonesbones SR2's biggest appeal was no doubt the sheer amount of random stuff you could do besides the story. Plus, it had a native mission replay function.
-
@bonesbones Funnily enough I've been playing SR:TT lately

@bonesbones *vanilla SR2 2000x better

@bonesbones Final boss of Undertale isn't really that tough. Genocide run is brutally difficult though.
