  27. @cabal Huh. That'd be... pretty much the same time I started following it. Maybe after, if anything (started following in '06, and given we're about a year apart, that'd mean you were either 16 or 17 then, slap-bang in the middle of that time period). Now I'm just confused.

  28. @cabal Huh. I've been following the project on and off for quite a while now, and I don't recall the dependencies ever not being catalogued in full, but depending on how old you are (I won't ask if you don't want to say~) that probably doesn't date back as far as you're talking about. That... euch, that would've been unpleasant, but fortunately it certainly isn't a problem with current (B)LfS revisions. :)

  29. @cabal That's not to say LfS *isn't* tedious, because hooo boy it is. But having to crawl about the internet for dependencies is not a part of that, because you don't.

Friday, 07-Dec-12 02:17:26 UTC from web in context
  30. @cabal Horsefeathers. The dependencies are linked, with the specific versions, and even archive links where packages were deprecated and removed from their original source, in the book itself. So unless you intentionally skipped over several sections (in which case, why?), you shouldn't have had to search for dependencies at all.
