  1. Just seen a gameplay video of Mario Kart 7 (what was wrong with Mario Kart 3D?) as long as it's better than the vastly over rated Mario Kart Wii and has better item balancing it's all good. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8tqoRDHh3Gw&feature=feedu !vgp

      1. @redenchilada I may be having a !derp moment, but what does it being 2011 have to do with my statement? ^^;

        1. @leonkfox Well, it's 2011 and you're calling MKWii overrated.

          1. @redenchilada Yeah, I know, and I said the same thing in 2010 etc, I hate the game's item balancing to the bone, I've never played a kart racer where you can go to 1st to last (and vice versa) so quickly, and at such a great frequency.

            1. @leonkfox Eh, I enjoyed it. Either way, it definitely isn't overrated, if you ask the Internet. They all dislike it. I kinda wish they'd bring back the Double Dash mechanic.

              1. @redenchilada Double Dash = Best Mario Kart game EVER! It SERIOUSLY needs a sequel with online play!

                1. @leonkfox It makes me want a GCN again so I can get a broadband adapter and try that online hack I heard of a long time ago.

                  1. @redenchilada You need the ethernet adaptor for Warp-Pipe.

                    1. @ceruleanspark I guess. Wonder if there's something like that I can use with the Wii? As in homebrew.

                      1. @redenchilada It's not impossible, I guess. All warp-pipe did was basically act like a hamachi link joining the two seperate machines into a single virtual LAN. The PS3 actually has something like that built in so that PSP games with only-adhoc multiplayer can be taken online.

                        1. @ceruleanspark I'd like to try that someti- wait, you can do that with PSP games? I'd almost be willing to get a PSP for that.

                          1. @redenchilada Yeah. I played Monster Hunter and Peace Walker with friends of mine online using it. The PSP connects to the PS3 wirelessly, and the two PS3's repeat the signals from the PSP's over their internet connections. There's some PC software (I think it's called Xlink Kai) that can do it too.

                  2. @redenchilada I would look into that, but I'd imagine the online is more or less dead thanks to Mario Kart Wii. (Errggghhh...)

                    1. @leonkfox It's one of those informal hacks that uses the LAN function in games. I don't think it needs any central server stuff.

      1. @redenchilada I was a big fan of "Gears of War 3 > Mario Kart" myself. As if they were somehow comparable.
