@thelastgherkin Good morning. How are things?

Micheal McPony and What do you care like this.
-
@scribuscampbell I'm not MADE of time!
-
@pinhooves I am the tiredest, and you only have the pleasure of my company for seven minutes. Yourself?
-
@thelastgherkin Well, whatever you're made of, I'm just glad you're back! !hug :D
-
@thelastgherkin Troll problems on here not long ago. It was pretty bad. Other than that, I'm doing just fine.
-
@thelastgherkin SEVEN MINUTES? You might be surprised what I can accomplish in that time.

@scribuscampbell He's made of gherkins, silly!

@ceruleanspark I'd like to see this. :o
-
@nerthos That. . . makes so much sense... If only I weren't too drunk to have seen it earlier! D:
-
@scribuscampbell :3
-
@pinhooves Oh man, ouch.
-
@ceruleanspark That's what she said, and also it's only three minutes now.
-
@thelastgherkin <3
-
@ceruleanspark And by three I mean two.
-
@scribuscampbell You can't be too drunk, it's just a trick your mind is playing on you so it can take all your alcohol to itself.
-
@nerthos Oh, man, kiwi my mind, I will *SO* outdrink it!!
-
@thelastgherkin Nooooo, I won't get to see you for much longer. :c
-
@thelastgherkin WELL, NOTHNG LEFT TO DO BUT SPEND THE NEXT 120 SECONDS SPAMMING YOU WITH THE WORD kiwi.

@thelastgherkin You've made one fatal error of judgement... There's ALWAYS time for papayass!
-
@nerthos No webcam; my laptop died, I'm on my netbook. :( #firstworldproblems
-
@ceruleanspark Why does it scare me that I think that may be true?
-
@scribuscampbell It happens too here in the third world. Today i cut a piece from my cpu cooler to be able to force it to life again.
-
@theonepony Eh? I still have half a shot of scotch, I'm not that wasted. Despite drinking too much... *urp* :-&
-
@pinhooves It shoud scare him. I've got his cellphone number, and my smartphone has copy and paste and an unlimited messaging plan.

@ceruleanspark Oh Luna I'm afraid to know where this is going. :p
-
@nerthos Brutal. I've yet to have to get quite that creative with my hardware.
-
@theonepony Hey, I may be drunk enough to misread that as "Drink that bleach," but I am NOT drunk enough to drink that bleach!

@scribuscampbell You'll soon be, you'll soon be.
-
@theonepony Eeeyup.
-
@scribuscampbell I will post a photo as soon as i'm forced to repair that almost dead thing again.
-
@theonepony THE BEST, THE BEST, THE BEST, THE BEST, THE BEST, THE BEST, THE BEST, THE BEST, THE BEST, THE BEST, THE BEST, THE BEST, THE BEST, THE BEST, THE BEST, THE BEST, THE BEST, THE BEST, THE BEST, THE BEST,THE BEST, THE BEST, THE BEST, THE BEST!!! http://ur1.ca/5ic36
-
@nerthos Nah, the bleach is out in my van, and I'm already too drunk to leave the house, even to cross the street.

@nerthos I think worst I had to do was a new power supply. Sadly, about two weeks later, something else crapped out, and I couldn't figure out what, so I got rid of my very first desktop. Felt bad, man.
-
@scribuscampbell You should always keep your bleach next to you, you can't predict when a baby could enter your house to steal everything! A good bottle of tempting bleach can do ze magicks with them.
-
@nerthos I figure if anybaby wants to steal my stuff, that's fine, I'm insured.
-
@scribuscampbell But where's the fun in that?
-
@nerthos I dunno. Where did I leave the scotch again;?
-
@scribuscampbell Every three days i'm fixing some piece of my (or someone else's) computer. You should ask me if anything happens to your's.
-
@nerthos Well, it looks like the video card crapped out on my lappy.
-
@scribuscampbell Oh. I hate laptops because of that. As they have everything integrated to the motherboard, they're hard and sometimes impossible to fix without spending at least half the price of the actual thing.
-
@nerthos Yeah, that's what worries me. I know there are some where you can replace the video &/or sound components, but mine is totally onboard, so unless it's something else killing my ability to see anything, I'm boned.
-
@scribuscampbell Sadly i can't open it and find what is wrong in there from here xD if it's just a cut wire or a component damaged, it can be repaired easily. If the monitor just don't starts, then it is probably a wire. If it don't gets video signal, then it can be bad.
-
@nerthos I tried an external monitor and that didn't show anything, either. But, the dole is, it started after I opened it up to re-insert a loose stick of RAM. Totally shouldn't have caused any issues, IMO.
-
@scribuscampbell Then it's probably a loose component, wrongly welded. It happens sometimes.
-
@nerthos I dunno. I'm not familiar enough with laptop hardware to do too much poking about... One day, I'll get it going, though. But in the meantime, here I am on my netbook! :)

@scribuscampbell I'm not used to them either. Only worked with two, my mom's laptop and my netbook.
-
@nerthos Yeah, I've worked on about five, but the most I've done is removed the one easily removable panel which usually covers just the RAM and the HDD, so that's about all I'm able to troubleshoot. And I already ruled those out, so . . . yeah.
-
@scribuscampbell I don't know why people buys laptops, and uses them mostly at home. They should have a desktop one at home, and a laptop or netbook to carry when they travel.
-
@nerthos I use a laptop mostly at home, but I don't only use it at one place within my home.
-
@nerthos Space issues, maybe. For me, I do take my main-computer-which-is-also-my-laptop with me when I go anywhere I may need it. But, yeah. Some people have no use for a laptop but they get one anyway.
-
@ceruleanspark I think it's better to have a desktop one, for the same price you can have more performance. @scribuscampbell yeah, that is a good reason.
-
@nerthos I would prefer a desktop, if I had my way all the way, but necessity intervened. At any rate, at least I have computation. Hell, my phone's stronger than my first computer was. XD
-
@scribuscampbell My first computer had a 166mhz cpu i think. My cellphone's running at like 300mhz, but can run at 600+mhz. Battery things.
-
@nerthos Oh, batteries... What a scourge. I hear batteries are the only thing keeping us from having honest-to-Luke lightsabers.
-
@scribuscampbell For what it does, 300mhz is enough. So they just limited it so it could run four days straight.
-
@nerthos Wow, that isn't bad. Mine lasts me about a day, but it's 600 MhZ base, IIRC...
-
@scribuscampbell Mine is like this one http://www.cameraphonesplaza.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/01/motorola-a1200-cell-phone-2.jpg but clack and more battered. I'm not inclined to buy a newer one, because this one is enough for the use i give to phones, and it has that acrylic thing that covers the screen while closed, so it is very hard to break.
