Well, I just re-installed Skyrim. The problems were definitely in the patch. Look, Bethesda, I love ya', but the idea is to FIX content, not break it worse. !tes !vgp

@thatonepony Since when do Bethesda fix anything?
-
@ceruleanspark It usually takes them a while, but this is worse than normal.
-
@thatonepony Really? Worse than Fallout?
-
@ceruleanspark I don't think my new Vegas had many glitchy problems. None that I noticed.
-
@ceruleanspark At least the Fallout 3 and New Vegas patches FIXED THINGS. The Skyrim patch has just kiwied it up worse than it already was.
-
@carcino Even the console versions of NV were bugged.
-
@carcino Well telling Rex to go to the Lucky 38 causes him to go missing for an extremely long time. At least on the PS3 version.
-
@thatonepony Fixed SOME of the things. It's still perfectly possible to get glitched out of being able to complete the main questline in both games.
-
@ceruleanspark mine was console.
-
@alphakirby I used E-DE
-
@carcino I was playing NV yesterday. Trying to leave the Silver Rush with Cass as a follower hardlocks the console every time for me.
-
@ceruleanspark The Skyrim patch refused to load my UI. At all. I had to re-install the bloody thing, and now the murdocking dragons are flying backwards.
-
@ceruleanspark I want to play Xbox with Cerulean :3
-
@thatonepony I've got 4 FO3 save files that literally can't ever be completed because of bugs in the fully patched main-questline. I have never been able to ACTUALLY GET TO the Broken Steel DLC because I can't complete the game.
-
@carcino My XBL name is in my profile. Also, did you just :3 at me?
-
@ceruleanspark I'm kind of tripping balls right now... I'm going to act weird.
-
@ceruleanspark Do you play on your Xbox? That would explain that. Bethesda has always been even worse with their console support.
-
@thatonepony Which doesn't make ANY SENSE, given that the primary benefit of consoles is only having to test against one hardware configuration. (Of course, whether Bethesda tests AT ALL is up for debate at this stage)
-
@thatonepony My FO3 saves are on the PS3. I have a PC copy, but, being to lazy to purchase/construct a PC capable of actually running it well, the PC version runs and looks like apples in comparison.
-
@ceruleanspark Unless you mod it. I really can't stress how much better Bethesda's games get when you can customize the functionality of it. It's really something that's harder to understand until you do it.
-
@thatonepony I assure you, no matter how much I mod it, it's still going to run like grapes on my macbook's onboard graphics card.
-
@ceruleanspark That's because Mac makes everything look like mangoes. Serves you right for wasting your money.
-
@thatonepony >2011 >Still thinks Mac vs Windows is a relevant debate >I really hope you guys don't do this.
-
@thatonepony Given that I didn't buy the computer to play games on in the first place, I'm not sure it not doing that very well constitutes a waste of money.
-
@ceruleanspark Regardless of what you bought it for, you wasted your money.
-
@thatonepony That's not how wasting money works dear. It would only be a waste of money if I didn't get what I wanted.
-
@ceruleanspark But you could have gotten what you wanted without paying exorbitant prices.
-
@thatonepony Using British currency, spec out a machine equivelant to the 2nd-Tier 13 inch macbook. Dimensions MUST be the same, and the real-world battery life must meet or exceed that of the macbook. I also require a 3 year manufacturer warranty. You must beat Apple's aggressive student discounting (20% off of the total price). I bought my macbook in a store, so if you chose a company that has to ship, you have to count shipping costs.
-
@ceruleanspark It's two in the mangoesing morning, and no. You get the point. Don't try to pretend Apple is selling it's products for their performance. You bought a shiny white case and the right to say your hip.
-
@thatonepony I didn't assert that dear. The reason I bought a Macbook was so I could be the only one in my university class not lugging around some moronic 17 inch dell monstrosity and fighting over the lecture hall's 2 power sockets.
-
@ponydude2143 I got (it's like 2 years old at this point) between 5 and 6 hours out of it daily. Also: new, in England, the M1330 cost more than my Macbook, for slightly worse specs, and slightly more weight.
-
@ceruleanspark Look, you can't have a decent computer debate with logic and reason and facts! Where's the baseless emotion?
-
@scribus LOOK LINUX IS FOR DICKS OK. IF YOU LIKE LINUX YOU PROBABLY HAVE A FEAR OF RAZORS AND NEED TO BOOK TWO SEATS WHEN YOU FLY.
-
@ceruleanspark Oh, yes. I forgot personal attacks, thanks for reminding me.
-
@scribus I am frankly shocked that we got this far into a Mac/PC debate without someone implying that I am a homosexual.
-
@ceruleanspark Well, that gets implied whatever the topic; I'm surprised it hasn't happened just on account of that. And a little disappointed, too. :p
-
@thatonepony Do the problems you speak of include broken dragon AI? Because when I was playing yesterday, I ran into a dragon with some severely broken AI. !tes !vgp
-
@puzzlemint The problems I was talking about involve the UI not loading at all. All I got was the emblem and some fog. After I re-installed, the bloody things fly backwards. So yeah, I guess it does. !tes !vgp
