        1. @mushi ...he does know that god can't send e-mails right?

Thursday, 26-Jan-12 22:27:25 UTC from StatusNet Desktop
          1. @zennx If God wanted to, he could probably send emails. However, I doubt he'd waste his time doing so.

        2. @mushi Download - on a separate computer - Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware. Reboot the infected system. Install and run Malwarebytes. It should work.

          1. @chiefanchor i will try something, but most likelly, the "man who fix computers" will fix it

    2. @mushi Ummm...what anti-virus program are you using?

Thursday, 26-Jan-12 22:24:43 UTC from web
      1. @xtux345 i dont remember the name, and i turned it off. at least turning off is allowed.

Thursday, 26-Jan-12 22:31:10 UTC from web
        1. @mushi What you probably have is a "scareware" program - it's probably not kidding about a few of the infections, but those by their very nature fraudulently report unnecessary false-alarms in an attempt to force you to purchase the license. They're illegal programs.

Thursday, 26-Jan-12 22:33:09 UTC from web
          1. @chiefanchor I saw it was kidding when it said there was child porn on the computer XD

Thursday, 26-Jan-12 22:37:09 UTC from web
            1. @mushi That's a serious claim. Before that system gets wiped, note down anything you can find out about that program - name, publisher, version number, etc.

Thursday, 26-Jan-12 22:38:25 UTC from web
              1. @chiefanchor yeh, that is a good idea

Thursday, 26-Jan-12 22:41:52 UTC from web
                1. @mushi Exact text of what it says regarding child porn detection would be helpful as well, as if it even remotely claims that it will auto-submit a report to law-enforcement agencies, it's blackmail, extortion, and possibly defamation by means of false reporting.

                      1. @rainbowdashfan1234 well, i'd say its pretty normal, but i only know this country, so i compare it with any other country. But if people calling you gay just because you dont like soccer bothers you, you wouldnt like XD

            2. @mushi If I'm thinking right, that is a piece of extortionware on there, not just scareware.

Thursday, 26-Jan-12 22:38:52 UTC from web
              1. @chiefanchor extortion ware does fit with the whole religious scam style of SPAM mail as well

Thursday, 26-Jan-12 22:40:49 UTC from StatusNet Desktop
    3. @mushi That sounds like something completely different than any anti-virus I know of.

Thursday, 26-Jan-12 22:26:00 UTC from web
      1. @chiefanchor i know, i've never seen it. But when the computer wont let me open anything, and when i try to disable the antivur it only shows the option to buy the licence

Thursday, 26-Jan-12 22:28:39 UTC from web
        1. @mushi Name the offending program, please.

Thursday, 26-Jan-12 22:29:50 UTC from web
        2. @mushi , that "antivirus" program that you're using is a virus itself. You'd best do all you can to remove it.

Thursday, 26-Jan-12 22:30:09 UTC from web
          1. @xtux345 it came with the lap top, i will see if i can do anything later, for now i will use the desktop computer

Thursday, 26-Jan-12 22:33:28 UTC from web
            1. @mushi Wait, wait wait. Where did you GET that computer anyways?

Thursday, 26-Jan-12 22:34:36 UTC from web
              1. @xtux345 That's what I'm starting to wonder myself. If they pre-installed a piece of scareware/extortionware onto your system, then there can be some legal muck you to throw at the seller.

              2. @xtux345 my mother is chief of civilian personnel. And people there are always giving her stuff. One day she got home with the laptop

Thursday, 26-Jan-12 22:36:25 UTC from web
                1. @mushi Find an OS install disk and wipe the drive, then. At least you can bring it back to normal working order.

Thursday, 26-Jan-12 22:37:45 UTC from web
                2. @mushi Was it confiscated from someone? Or a gift?

Thursday, 26-Jan-12 22:37:57 UTC from web
                  1. @xtux345 i dont have any idea XD

Thursday, 26-Jan-12 22:40:35 UTC from web
                3. @mushi the one thing my mom ever bring home from work are law-related mumbo-jumbo files

Thursday, 26-Jan-12 22:38:19 UTC from StatusNet Desktop
                  1. @zennx she is pretty poppular among these people who work with civillian stuff, but they usually dont give her that kind of gift

Thursday, 26-Jan-12 22:41:38 UTC from web
