I guess I'm friends with a lot of Canadian bronies... so, let me ask if I may: Is Tim Horton's really that good?
Monday, 30-Jan-12 03:38:01 UTC from web-
@bladeshadowmane Coffee's good. Donuts are cheap. Muffins are pretty good. So... yes, I suppose.
-
@bladeshadowmane @yodelerty i saw a few of those... kinda like dunkin donuts in the states?
-
@getacutiemark I've never been to a Dunkin' Donuts, so... maybe?
-
@getacutiemark Kinda, but with better coffee.
-
@yodelerty Krispy Kreme?
-
@yodelerty yerp... canada is cool...(just that we tend to make plenty of "insignificant canada" jokes around here)
-
@greatandpowerfuleaglehooves nicee... my parents only drink the instant stuff :/
-
@derps awesome.
-
@derps I've had their donuts before.
-
@getacutiemark That stuff is disgusting
-
@macpony55 only stuff i have had for about 12 years...
-
@yodelerty Good. A simple glazed is the best.
-
@getacutiemark I kno rite
-
@derps its the only heaven that would kill you
-
@getacutiemark You need to try some a that real stuff
-
@getacutiemark That stuff is awful. I actually drink more tea and cocoa than coffee.
-
@derps actually, i like cake doughnuts... just nothing. slight sweetness. glazed and chocolate with sprinkles are good too, though
-
@greatandpowerfuleaglehooves thats what we drink in india...
-
@macpony55 i guess... prob more tea for now?
-
@getacutiemark Eeyup.
-
@yodelerty One day I'll have to go there.
-
@bladeshadowmane If you ever fly to Canada, they're all over the airports.
-
@getacutiemark !tea is always good
-
@getacutiemark similar to DnkD, I'm just curious now that I've been talking doughnuts
-
@yodelerty where you from in canada? o:
-
@rainbroo Calgary, Alberta.
-
@yodelerty I'd drive, I'm like, only 10/14 hours away? I make a 9+ hour drive to visit my grandparents in Wisconsin.
-
@greatandpowerfuleaglehooves makes me want cocoa
-
@macpony55 yeah. we take dried tea leaves, place them in water, and bring it to a boil.
-
@bladeshadowmane y no chocolate rain?
-
@getacutiemark Delicious
-
@bladeshadowmane Oh, OK. Then they're pretty widespread. Not as much as Starbucks, but there are still a lot of them.
-
@macpony55 we also drink it with milk, similar to coffee creamer...
-
@getacutiemark My sister does that, I prefer it plain and strong similar to coffee
-
@getacutiemark I'm more of a chocolate cake/vanilla frosting type of guy, I've never been a fan or chocolate frosting for some reason
-
@macpony55 haven't tried it that way... might as well try it tomorrow morning...
-
@bladeshadowmane opposite of you, i like white/yellow cake with chocolate frosting...
-
@bladeshadowmane I like chocolate and vanilla frosting but I can eat more vanilla before getting sick thus I prefer that
-
@yodelerty I'd assume so as with any chain. Starbucks doesn't get a lot of love these days from most people a I know, the whole "they burn their beans" thing. I work with a buncha snobs lol
-
@macpony55 i like cakes that don't need frosting.
-
@getacutiemark I also usually double or triple the strength most drink !tea or !coffee at
-
@bladeshadowmane I just think Starbucks is too expensive. Coffee's good, but it drains my wallet.
-
@macpony55 i am just too open. I like everything!
-
@getacutiemark The more I can eat without getting sick the better, and that honestly isn't that much even for a light cake, I rarely have sugar at home
-
@macpony55 good. i have an overabundance. about 1 bag per 6 months.
-
@bladeshadowmane they have ok customer service, though
-
@yodelerty I work at a Whole Foods, so I can get good coffee to brew at home... but alas, no white chocolate syrup, that's the real thorn in my flank
-
@bladeshadowmane If you have to add stuff to it to flavor it, then it's not good coffee.
-
@bladeshadowmane is whole foods good? i have heard about it, but they arent that common around here(kroger, publix, ingles, walmart)
-
@colfax People who drink black coffee are nuts.
-
@macpony55 lol I always tell people I'm a plain kind of guy, I just really like vanilla! Chocolate can get... too chocolate-y?
-
@bladeshadowmane It can be overpowering
-
@bladeshadowmane how do you get a thorn in a flank? how about in the hoof?
-
@redenchilada OMG I TOTES KNOW just how can you drink black coffee???
-
@colfax I have to, at the very least milk and sugar... but to drink it just straight... that's difficult.
-
@redenchilada i need to try it sometime. (actually, krispy kreme forgot to add cream to my dads coffee.. xP)
-
@redenchilada @bladeshadowmane My grandfather does and it's the extra extra bold at double strength, I srink it at the same st
-
@macpony55 *drink it at the same strength but I at least add a little milk
-
@getacutiemark We go through at least one bag a month and that's extra dark
-
@redenchilada You see, I have this mug here, a big florescent green 32oz. monster that's filled with double-brewed espresso, straight up black... now if you want to get nuts, well I can get nuts...
-
@macpony55 erm, i was talking about sugar.... we go through a pound of tea leaves in two months(6 per day)
-
@colfax 32oz of expresso?!
-
@getacutiemark Third one since dinner.
-
@getacutiemark Oh, never mind then, we go through about the same amount of sugar, no idea about exactly how much tea
-
@macpony55 well kudos to you! lol I definitely know I've got "young person" taste. I usually drink Yerba Mate tea. It's a naturally strongly caffeinated tea from Brazil that carries a lot of other trace nutrients that are good for you, and the caffeine molecules are different in which they work both muscles in the heart and are "slow release" and you get more of the energetic feeling for longer than coffee
-
@colfax are you high now?
-
@macpony55 my parents and my grandmother are addicted to it...
-
@getacutiemark No, I don't get high.
-
@bladeshadowmane I honestly don't even drink it for the caffeine, I drink it just cause I like the taste
-
@getacutiemark I'm amazingly not addicted to caffeine
-
@colfax so, you are immune to caffiene? thats impressive, i guess...(i probably would fail ap calculus if i drank that much)
-
@macpony55 same here... (i want a chai now, but i cant make one at night)
-
@getacutiemark You should just make one anyway :D
-
@getacutiemark Not immune, I just have a really high tolerance, the kind that makes it hard to be medicated for anything since the dosages need to be borderline toxic before they do anything for me.
-
@macpony55 yeah, so i can stay awake...
-
@colfax ahhh, i see. 32oz of expresso sounds like a cake ingredient. as a replacement for water in an oversweet chocolate cake...
-
@macpony55 I know some people who roast their own beans if you're interested lol I know some serious coffee folks ^_^
-
@getacutiemark Maybe not such a good idea
-
@bladeshadowmane I'm the step right after, I just buy the whole, roasted beans and then grind them myself
-
@macpony55 why not? i have a bio test tomorrow, and i can only focus when i am almost asleep...
-
@bladeshadowmane @macpony55 you guys are really serious about coffee..
-
@getacutiemark It's what get's me up at 5 in the morning, I have to be
-
@macpony55 i need to organize my life a bit better(like sleep at the same time every night). too unpredictable now, just MLP and mass being regular...
-
@macpony55 PON PON WEI WEI WEI PON PON WEI PON WEI PON PON!
-
@getacutiemark I would prefer to get to sleep at 10 everynight, that would be a nice thing to make routine
-
@getacutiemark I'm more of a serious tea guy, but really the two aren't that far apart. I used to hold regular tea parties with friends where we'd brew, taste, and discuss the tea presented at the party, then we'd have a raffle to see who won the night's tea selection.
-
@getacutiemark If only we could have put the video through the tvs......
-
@bladeshadowmane gahh, that making me uber jelly
-
@macpony55 I can get some some distributions lol
-
@getacutiemark We used to do it every 2 weeks, but it started getting difficult to get everyone together
-
