  1. Ponies don't have a word for "one". Pony counting goes Pony, 2, 3, 4.

      1. @chiefanchor It's 11.

      2. @chiefanchor PonyPony?

      3. @chiefanchor They obviousy have a glyph for 1, but I was just thinking about how "Somepony" and "everypony" have replaced "someone" and "everyone" despite the fact that the source words don't have anything "Human specific" about them.

        1. @ceruleanspark True...

        2. @ceruleanspark Very true indeed

    2. @ceruleanspark "One would hate to slip."

      1. @pony Twilight says "Everyone" in Over a Barrel when she's being PC for the buffalo too.

        1. @ceruleanspark ah there's the exception.. I guess pony-speak is just more ethnocentric when it comes to "everypony" etc. than non-equestrian English.

          1. @pony I like that Twilight is polite to the buffalo, but says "everypony" around Spike all the time.

            1. @ceruleanspark yeah. :) I guess Spike is too much like family to her for her to really put that kind of effort into her normal speech.

              1. @pony Or alternatively, when she says "Everypony here is my best friend" she's intentionally leaving out Spike because he sucks.

                1. @ceruleanspark Well they have a brother-sister relationship as I see it so she wouldn't bother to mention him

                  1. @purplephish20 I think it's because Spike is irrelevant because she's basically guaranteed to be a princess and he's guaranteed to be a horrible monster.

                    1. @ceruleanspark @purplephish20 While it's fun to notice how Spike gets dumped on a lot, I kind of see Twilight as Spike's adoptive mother/boss/owner... They have a wierd relationship obviously. I like the fan thing where Spike grows up and goes away. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QpMKUR022as

                2. @ceruleanspark The craziness Spike puts up with!
