@ceruleanspark I still think the result of the change is that, due to the new voice, Derpy is now a dumb blonde. If they edited out the name but kept the voice, I wouldn't even care. But the edit just makes me think, "Hasbro is not okay with portraying a (misconstrued) sterotype of an impaired person, but is totally cool with making another dumb blonde stereotype to fill the ranks of thousands already out there in the world."

@crusader8 Amy Keating Rodgers recieved complaints about Derpy, and upon review of the complaints, felt they had merit and was absolutely mortified by the potential offense of what she'd done, as her own sun (whom Soarin is named after) is quite badly disabled. Following procedure the complaints were escalated to the board, who determined that the complaints had merit and that edits should be made. This, combined with Tabitha St Germains dissapointment that she'd actively portrayed Derpy as the wrong gender (she thought the character was male) lead to her being revoiced and the word "Derpy" being cut from the script. She also confirmed that this when she wrote the original script, she was called Ditzy, and her name was changed late in the writing process as a "tip of the hat" to the fanbase.

@crusader8 I just don't like getting burned. Not that they don't burn you when they do full-seasons and stop before the finale, but at least you get most of it that way.

@imhenrytheiixiam No one likes getting burned. However, we will get ours in the end; the Celestia has foreseen this. There will be eventual proper releases, and if not, to the Moon with them.

@imhenrytheiixiam Hey now, I miss Gargoyles as much as anyone, but Tangled is amazing. It restored my faith in Disney motion pictures, because my last two favorites were Hercules and Mulan (I liked Hercules more than Mulan, but people don't understand why for some reason).

@crusader8 They still produce good movies at times, but their TV shows are like red-headed murdock stepchildren to them. Absolutely no release for the 101 Dalmatians show... The Weekenders... It hurts me, man. It hurts... :'(

@imhenrytheiixiam hurt them back with torrents? I don't know how doing torrents and not getting arrested works, though, but people do it all the time so there has to be a way. Incidentally, Goof Troop is cool and its two movies were pretty cool too (first movie superior to sequel however).

@scribus @ceruleanspark I still find it strange that Derpy is apparently more offensive than the pony who escaped from the hospital and Crackle... Really, I really liked Derpy, but I find those other two actually somewhat offense (though not enough to cry and complain about)
