  1. Appearently I can just hook up my keyboard to my android tablet PC and it works, no muss, no fuzz. Well except in my backpack if I were to decide to take it with me...

      1. @omni It's the power of any system that supports the bluetooth HID stack too. My cellphone can do it.

        1. @ceruleanspark Can't you see I'm in fanboy mode? Why won't you just be quiet for a moment?

            3. @ceruleanspark I haven't tried Windows Phone 7, to be honest, so I can't comment on it. I do think it looks decent for a phone or tablet OS but that's all I can say. I'm generally not too fond of Microsoft products, always had a lot of trouble with them.

              1. @omni To be honest, WP7 doesn't really have much opportunity to give you trouble. It's very pre-packaged (MS even dictates the hardware it runs on).

                1. @ceruleanspark I prefer options on my phone, personally.

                  2. @redenchilada I prefer useful options and a viable upgrade path.

                    1. @ceruleanspark Who are you to decide what is useful and what not? The more options the better, I've been through enough systems that didn't have an option because they didn't personally consider it all that useful even though I wanted that option :P

                      1. @omni Who am I to decide what is useful to me? I would argue I am the ultimate arbiter of what is useful to me. The additional cruft in an android is useless ballast to me, and the fact that I pay for it with forced obsolescence and a generally less pleasant day to day experience is an unacceptable tradeoff for me.

                        1. @ceruleanspark That's another way to look at it. The issue I'm afraid of is that, if a system has less features, it is more likely to not have a feature you want.

                          1. @omni I checked that it did everything I wanted before I bought it. My old phone did everything I wanted too, before it decided to flip out and die on me. RIP Palm Pre 2. You will be missed.

        1. @critialcloudkicker I never liked Ubuntu that much. I was always outdated and the amount of available packages was rather low. I'm using Arch Linux now and loving it, though I'm going to run Gentoo in a virtual machine to test it out because it looks interesting

          1. @omni There is definatly something to be said for the user friendlyness of "find log, google problem, walk away with fix" that Ubuntu offers doh. Not that I have booted it up in quite some time however. Other engagements keep me confined to Windows based operating systems
