@pony Depends on the person, but most people I know would cover their kids ears if you said that out loud and they had a kid around so I kind of assume yeah. xD

@minti cover a 13-year-old's ears? really? @mushi I think our society has become far too oversexualized in negative ways, and not nearly enough in good ways. I feel that open communication about these things can help our youth (and many adults) come to terms with the shame surrounding sexuality in our cultures. In any case, I'll stop discussing it if it makes you uncomfortable.

@pony So I suppose now would probably be a bad time to mention the recent scientific evidence which suggests a possible health benefit to doing "that" semi-regularly. Not that I can ever find those articles again after I read them… I really should get in the habit of bookmarking them for these kinds of occasions.

@toksyuryel nah. I know about the studies.. at least i've heard of them, though I haven't read any. I'm married so /ideally/ "that" shouldn't be necessary, but reality is reality.

@pony Trust me, I know about it first-hoof. It is something that I struggle with every day. But like all things that are good for you in some amount, too much will always be bad for you. Maintaining the right balance is what's crucial.

@toksyuryel That's the common belief. The risk with that is that for some ponies (like myself) when life gets stressful we fall back on it and begin to self-medicate with it, which can lead to misuse. Another way to think about it is how recovering alcoholics can't drink even socially. Likewise, even clopping leads me to excesses that hurt my relationships, etc. Honestly, I couldn't have stayed clean this long if it weren't for a combination of faith, medication, therapy, and, not least of all, ponies.

@redenchilada lol.. well not that I know of, but I take an off-brand version of Celexa which treats the anxiety and depression which prompt me to use (non-pony) clop as well as make it harder to maintain arousal
