I just realizedhow much fluttershy and i have in common: Whenever I play Mariokart and gets to first place, I feel bad for the other people, and slow down. I Love animals, and i could gladly be a tree. Also, I'm EXTREMELY shy.... and maybe a little bit Derpy :p

@critialcloudkicker I like speed too :) as long as I'm not multiple miles away from the others. If I'm in first place all the time, its no fun ;)

@yodelerty when I get to first place, I get really really exited, and wants to punch a wall, of are happiness. But 2 seconds later, I feel bad for the non-humans XD (except for the last round)

@yodelerty Rubber Band AI is the cheapest thing. EA always stuffs it into their racing titles as well. Completely kills the fun.

@ceruleanspark I actually thought most racing games had it. There was this racing mini-game in Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep that was really bad for it. Like, it was impossible to keep a lead for more than 10 seconds before a computer went shooting past you.

@yodelerty Gran Turismo and Forza don't have it. These games are quite happy for you to beat the absolute crap out of your opponents.

@yodelerty so, they basically "teleport" to right behind you? I think "Burnout paradise city" had some modes, where. the cars just drove off, and suddenly appeared behind me... I didn't think they had it in mariokart... what game, exactly?

@derpyshy No, they just catch up really quickly. I think they all have it. You can test it on Rainbow Road in MK64. Even if you use the shortcut there that lets you skip half the course on all three laps, they will still catch up.

@yodelerty hmm... I think somebody said something about mk7 having that, too... it might just be that you were playing 150cc, or they drove behind you, to get a boost :/

@derpyshy Well, driving behind someone to get a boost is an actual mechanic in Mario Kart 7; humans can do it too. But, yeah, 150cc gives the computers some hax rubber band AI.

@yodelerty 50cc everybody is slower than you. 100cc everybody is just as fast as you. 150cc I think they are 50 percent faster than you. That's probably why :) BTW, what character is your favorite? Mine is Daisy, mostly because of the drifting/handling (mkDS)

@derpyshy I use Yoshi, personally. The only exception to that was Double Dash where I used Yoshi and Mario (which is actually more of an addition than an exception).
