@flaredancer ^//^ I'm flattered. I've definitely gotten better with vectoring since I started her tumblr, but it still takes several hours to complete an entirely new pic, and I'm too lazy to draw my own poses so I just imitate other fan art, altering and improving it enough to call my own.. I feel no shame.. Shakespeare did similarly. ;P

@pony Heh I completely lack in any sort of drawing/photoshop/visual art skills, so I envy those who have them. In a good way.

@flaredancer It takes a certain lifestyle to really get into art solely for the sake of enjoyment and self expression. I was into art academically, and, while I'm glad I was and I appreciate the skills I gained, I learned the hard way that I'm not cut out to work professionally. Art for enjoyment is completely different though. It takes time and patience just like professional art, but you've got to balance it with work/school. On the other hand you get to work at your own pace and do things you love. *end #rant*

@noirbatch oh haha! For a second i thought you were keeping fluids down so that you could pee on a pregnancy test and you couldn't wait to see the result.. Nevermind the fact that you're male. I don't know how my mind comes up with these things! I'll probably work on more tomorrow. I'm no longer busy with school so I should be able to do more. But why are you in the hospital??

@noirbatch My connection at school is weird. I'll have signal and be connected to 3G, but sometimes it won't send data at all.

@pony I guess, you also need a certain personality to start after a certain age. I, for example, are very hard to satisfy, especially with my own work. Because of that, I get frustrated while others find my results decent.

@hakupony true. that's part of the patience bit i think. A lesson that took me a long time to learn is not to be too precious with my own work.. it's hard to know when to keep going, try to salvage something, or just start over.

@pony Yeah, that seems to be true for a lot of things. And sometimes when you do art, or anything else you enjoy, for a living, it can take all the fun out of it and make you really dislike it.
