@conventrix what is normal anyways?
about a year ago from web -
@conventrix You are on a brony social network, no one here is close to normal =P

@cavatina so true, so true.

@conventrix I'm pan, m'self. I tend to date men more, though, because males (at least around here) seems to have the personality types I favor.
about a year ago from web -
@conventrix a-HA! So your true sexuality comes forth!
about a year ago from web -
@conventrix I seem to attract very feminine men. My last two boyfriends made me feel really guilty for having my own goals in life. Not that those two thoughts are necessarily related in every case.
about a year ago from web -
@conventrix I had a sensitive boyfriend once who still managed to bully me. He was quite emotionally abusive and I think I'm still a little messed up thanks to him.
about a year ago from web -
@conventrix We must savour this moment: the moment you showed your true sexuality after being all mysterious. >_>
about a year ago from web -
@conventrix I've always had emotional and self esteem problems, and it wasn't until a few years after the relationship that I realized he was abusive. He used to remind me monthly that if I ever got pregnant he had ways of making me have an abortion.
about a year ago from web-
@flaredancer Are you serious? That is horrible. Shame on him.
about a year ago from web-
@rarity Yeah. He'd tell me he could always push me down a flight of stairs, or, failing that, he's got a closet full of wire coat hangers. He's a Sheriff's Deputy now.
about a year ago from web-
@flaredancer ..How do people like that live with themselves? Who is he to act like that? Who is /anybody/ to act like that?
about a year ago from web-
@rarity I really haven't a clue. He stalked me after I ended the relationship, too. Well… he sort of ended the relationship, actually. He told me I had to choose between him or my family.
about a year ago from web-
@flaredancer Is he gone now?
about a year ago from web-
@rarity He's not in my life anymore. This was… um… 7 years ago. We were together for almost a year, though.
about a year ago from web-
@flaredancer I'm just happy for you that it's done.
about a year ago from web-
@rarity Yeah, me, too. I wish I had got the restraining order, though, cos I doubt he'd be a cop now if I had. He stopped stalking me when my Dad threatened him with one.
about a year ago from web-
@flaredancer is it too late to get one, or do you not want to open that can of worms again?
about a year ago from web-
@rarity I don't want to bother with it. I haven't seen nor heard from him in 6 years. I'm at a point where I've actually forgiven him emotionally, but I want nothing whatsoever to do with him.
about a year ago from web-
@flaredancer okay.
about a year ago from web-
@rarity I'm still a little worried that one day he'll pull me over for speeding or something, but I don't actually know what area he's a cop in. I know you can't be a cop too close to where you live. I live in the city proper, though, whereas he polices the county, so I don't know if I'll run into him
about a year ago from web-
@flaredancer I hope that doesn't happen.
about a year ago from web-
@rarity Yeah, me, too. Though, I might have a good way to get out of the ticket

@flaredancer It's a very low likelihood... sadly, though, there's no way of guaranteeing it not happening. Who knows... maybe time has given him some perspective on his behaviour, anyway.
about a year ago from web-
@pawnheart /shrugs I joke about it, but I doubt I'd even try to use that to get out of the ticket unless I knew for a fact I didn't do anything wrong. And then it'd be a last resort.
about a year ago from web-
@flaredancer In sensible actuality... it would probably be just a police man pulling someone over for an infingement of the law. If not... then he would be pitiable.
about a year ago from web-
@pawnheart I'm not expecting it to happen, though, part of that is because I don't think he knows what my car looks like, but I wouldn't be surprised if It did.
-
@flaredancer Not to expect it is probably the best you can do... there are many more unpleasant things that are probably considerably more likely to happen to us in any given day!
about a year ago from web-
@flaredancer *by 'more unpleasant', I meant 'other unpleasant things', not things that are necessarily 'more unpleasant' than that. (ahem). Excuse me.
about a year ago from web-
@pawnheart I understand. But, there are things that are more unpleasant that are also more likely to happen. I think running into the guy I almost married would be one of those...
about a year ago from web-
@flaredancer Yeah... it just ain't all that likely, is all I was saying in a very roundabout way! I nearly get hit by a car once a week, on average... it is statistically the most likely way I will die. But beyond scolding myself/the other driver for half a minute after the event... other than that, I don't worry about it that much! ...huh... Please forgive me, that was about the worst analogy in the history of typing!
about a year ago from web-
@pawnheart hehe It happens. And, yeah, I know how drivers can be... People in So Cal tend to be pretty horrible at it.
about a year ago from web-
@flaredancer To be honest... it's probably largely due to my head-in-the-clouds-listening-to-saxophone-squawking tendencies! Anyway... may statistics be on your side, and such an occurence never happen.
about a year ago from web-
@pawnheart Here's hoping! And here's hoping you don't get runned over
about a year ago from web-
@flaredancer Yay! Thanks!

@flaredancer I strongly feel you dodged a bullet with this one... can't have been at all easy though.
about a year ago from web-
@pawnheart Oh, no. The only thing that saved my life is how close my family is. If it weren't for them I don't know where I'd be.
about a year ago from web-
@flaredancer That's a relief... and one that would seem to fully validate your decision.
about a year ago from web-
@pawnheart Yeah. My family is fan-freakin'-tastic

@conventrix I don't. XD I'll just have to replace you as the mysterious guy because I'm almost sure I never told anyone my sexuality unless I did in which case oh well. XD

@yodelerty You like Hamsters.

@ceruleanspark How did you guess are you a wizard.

about a year ago from web -
@conventrix Yeah… I really should have listened to my family and friends when they told me it was a bad idea and they didn't like him. But, I was 17 and in love… blech.
about a year ago from web -
@conventrix You must dance.
about a year ago from web -
@conventrix I think some of it might have to do with how kids are raised. I remember being told as a kid that if a boy picked on you it just means he likes you. As an adult, that seems like a really messed up thing to tell little girls.
about a year ago from web -
@conventrix Good... I already forgot why I made you do that. XD
