@nerthos My philosophy: anyone who directly asks if they can be a mod should never be allowed to become one. A person like that is most likely only making a power grab.

@actualcannibalabigpony It's my opinion that the admins should approach people they want to be mods and make them the offer that way. No recommendations and no applications.

@nerthos Yeah I just checked who he was. Apparently when he changed his name it canceled out the block I had set so I didn't realize he was the same person (even though it ought to have been obvious from the name… go me). Guess it's time to fix that huh!

@nerthos That's odd, somehow when I re-blocked it also simultaneously flagged him. And there's no way to unflag it seems. To any #mods who see that, it was a mistake or bug or something so please disregard it.

@minti Same here. I would like to be one, but I'm not going to bother the admins with it. If they feel like someone should be granted modhood, they'll ask that person. We'll probably have a chance whenever a drama/anarchy/riot of more than two days erupts.

@minti Hehe. Pretty much. The last mod promotion spree was due to a complete power hollow. The page fell in chaos, there was no active admins, and pretty much half the site grabbed torches and pitchforks and asked for solutions, and then Mrdragon and Colfax were granted adminhood, and Cerulean and Scribus' rules thing was uploaded as an official set of rules and they were granted modhood.

@minti That was the old times. Then there was the end of the happy times, the break of the RP, Starshine's exodus along with some of the users, and the drama stage. Things got stable for a while, but then too many of the mods left and there was pretty much only Colfax, Dragon and Red trying to hold the place together.

@toksyuryel Dragon is head adminstrator, Cerulean is technical admin, he deals with making sure the site works etc.
