  1. I don't hate Republicans. I think some of them were great leaders. Like Regan. But I watched every GOP debate in 2012, and that was just a circus of stupidity.

    1. @mrmattimation I think I actually like Obama despite all the anti-hype in my state

    2. @mrmattimation Honestly both sides are a joke.

      1. @dfox Right but the Republicans seem to make a bigger stink. You know the senate elections this year? Virginia is a Conservative state, and everything was just horrible.

        1. @mrmattimation Regarding campaigns, that is.

    3. @oracle McCain was the lesser of 2 evils. I honestly thought Romney would have been good.

    4. @oracle There was no way to know that at the time, considering everything Obama said was a lie. He had a stance that SEEMED, at first, decent and desirable. So I voted for him on his first term. At that time, I was happy to see him win. Now.....Now? Not so much. Not so much at all. I regret that decision.

      1. @clayinthecarpet Obama came into presidency at a really sh***y time. That isn't his fault. He had a big Bushy mess to clean up.

        1. @mrmattimation I'm not even responding to that. I want everyone here to stop talking about this !@#%, honestly. This is extremely abrasive as a general convo topic.

      2. @clayinthecarpet I saw the untrustworthiness in Obama from close to the start. I was pro-Obama for a couple months before his first term too.

    5. @oracle The problem comes not from the discussion "getting out of hand", but the ***FACT*** that NOBODY IN HERE is ever going to convince anyone else of ANYTHING, politically, without a long, drawn-out debate that takes like an hour. And I don't come here to read !#@% like that because PONIES.

      1. @clayinthecarpet if you think this places primary purpose is to discuss MLP you are really really mistaken

        1. @rarity I never said that. I'm just pointing out the obvious. Political debates NEVER end on a good note. NEVER. People become at the very least, indifferent to each other or sometimes even hateful of the other party. It's not a good topic for a room of people who generally came here to find friends and/or supporters for what they do.

          1. @clayinthecarpet people are allowed to discuss whatever they want. You responding to them going "OMG GUYS STOP FIGHTING NASDHFAHSDCJVA SD HEFHASDSAJSDFJEJFD" doesn't help at all

Thursday, 21-Nov-13 01:28:33 UTC from web
            1. @rarity I know that, actually. *sigh*...Okay. Not mentioning it again. I just don't want the negativity right now is the only reason I said it.

          2. @clayinthecarpet Look, I know you're new here so I totally understand why you'd think that, but this community is (in spite of getting riled up over little things sometimes) generally very good at discussing hot button topics like politics, religion, etc. in a civil manner that avoids the ad hominem attacks, name calling, and strawmanning not entirely, but definitely more effectively than a lot of other sites.

What I'm saying is don't tell people what not to talk about please and thank you
