@mushi keeps alternating between not allowing me to post from the update status box and completely removing realtime update so I have to manually refresh to get posts to come in.

@mushi He's caught the Scoot strain of Redenchilada Syndrome, which disables the ability to post from the main page and causes RDN refresh to stop working.

@flamingpandaomg Imagine a time where manually refreshing was the norm. Only 2011 RDN users will remember this!

@scoot Pff, 2011 RDN users knew how to install a userscript to do the refreshing for them

@redenchilada That didn't exist immediately, I do remember when I first discovered RDN refresh, though.

@scoot It had definitely been out for a while by the time I first became a mod. I remember because I had been avoiding installing it and using StatusNet Desktop instead but decided to switch to the web interface when I got promoted. So it probably wasn't more than a few months after the site's launch that it existed.

@scoot I know the site was made on like april the 4th 2011. I joined like 5 days after that
