    2. @snowcone heh. Some things are symbolic and others are literal. It's actually not too difficult to understand if you want to immerse yourself in the symbols that were once understood by everybody in ancient Israelite culture.

    6. @snowcone W-what is this.. ecchi? Doth it have a point system, and, if so, how many points do I receive?

    7. @snowcone This system seems rather biased in my favor, but carry on I suppose.

    8. @snowcone Does that rule still exist?

Wednesday, 29-Jan-14 22:18:11 UTC from web
      1. @lulu Yep. It's one of the only few actual rules left. http://ur1.ca/gizr8

Wednesday, 29-Jan-14 22:22:05 UTC from web
    11. @snowcone We still enforce the rules whether or not you're aware of it, just because you think they were "abandoned" doesn't mean they actually were.

    12. @snowcone @nerthos I guess it depends on how a mod defines role play, what mood they're in, and yes, whether it disrupts the timeline.

Wednesday, 29-Jan-14 22:22:41 UTC from web
      1. @lulu No. RP is specifically not allowed. There's no discretion or moderator definitions on that rule. It says "Don't Roleplay", that is pretty clear.

Wednesday, 29-Jan-14 22:26:56 UTC from web
        1. @scoot If I were a mod I'd define RP as what they do on the sites recommended in the rules. That would be the most logical definition if we're strictly following what's written, and that is a very specific type of activity. Therefore what I've done wouldn't count as RP to me, but if you're in the mood to say that what the rule implies isn't true and you'd like to define RP /much/ more broadly then I'm cool with that.

          1. @lulu OK, nice paragraph, here's the rules: Don't roleplay.

            1. @scoot Care to clarify what you consider roleplay?

              3. @lulu Dude, there's not much of a range of definitions. Roleplay means taking on a role and pretending.

Wednesday, 29-Jan-14 22:38:03 UTC from web
              4. @lulu The definition of roleplaying (as it pertains to the "roleplaying isn't allowed" rule) is the acting out of scenes intended to build up a fictional world or character around your account. Emoting singular actions to represent actions you're taking (such as the examples listed in the rules) is A-OK. The line is drawn when your actions represent a character rather than yourself - at least, that's how I've always enforced the rule.

                1. @redenchilada Thank you kindly! I was just concerned that acting like my username's sake might cross the line for some mods though I still mean to act as myself most of the time obviously.

                            1. @rarity I meant to say personal preference comes into play in moderation sometimes, not that I object.

    13. @snowcone They just removed the old rules and uploaded a new set focusing more on moderator discretion. There are some clear rules still though.

    14. @snowcone Perhaps we just don't want to ban everybody for minor rules infractions, considered that idea?

Wednesday, 29-Jan-14 22:25:01 UTC from web
    15. @snowcone and nobody is getting banned for those, so what is your point exactly? That we don't ban people unless we think they're causing problems? Pretty sure that's a good attitude to have towards moderation
