Sometimes I think about opening a full-on Let's Play channel because it's such a mind-bogglingly easy way to make money.

@mrmattimation Ask Neu how much he makes sometime. It's a pretty round number (It's zero)
-
@ceruleanspark Right, but then you've got people like AntVenom who make $40,000 a year just for putting their horrible voice over Minecraft videos. Obviously I'm not looking to sustain myself off of ad revenue, at the present time that would be a stupid idea, but having SOME extra money from playing Lego Simulator would be nice.

@mrmattimation isn't that basically minimum wage?
-
@ceruleanspark more than twice wat I make.
Thursday, 30-Jan-14 15:17:56 UTC from web -
@ceruleanspark Not quite. Minimum wage is more around the 20K mark, if I'm remembering my economics class correctly.

@mrmattimation aye.

@mrmattimation It's not really a "safe living" though. When you can lose your entire income overnight with no recourse because a robot flagged you for copyright infringement one too many times.
-
@ceruleanspark It's not, but again, I'm not looking for a safe living. I'm looking to make extra cash.

@mrmattimation Mine cryptocurrency.
-
@ceruleanspark hmm.. Would it be worth taking out a loan?
Thursday, 30-Jan-14 15:28:14 UTC from web-
@lulu That would be a bad idea. It's not even really necessary. It's a $40 outlay for a $5 a month return.
-
@ceruleanspark I'm sold, but what requirements are there for my network? Mine will change soon, but currently it's rather restrictive.
Thursday, 30-Jan-14 15:32:17 UTC from web-
@lulu None at all. This system lets you host your miner in the cloud in a datacenter someplace. I've got 4 or 5 up there now. (I just loop the profit they make back into buying more, I started with 1)
-
@ceruleanspark Nice. :) So do you just pay a service like investing or do you actually run your own software?
Thursday, 30-Jan-14 15:36:07 UTC from web-
@lulu You pay the one off-fee for the miner, and they take a small fraction (3% I think) of what you mine to pay running costs.
-
@ceruleanspark Excellent. Where do I sign up and do you have a referral code?

@ceruleanspark Do you prefer mtgox.com or bitstamp.net?
Thursday, 30-Jan-14 16:10:08 UTC from web-
@lulu I use bitstamp. MTgox is so badly run as to essentially be a con. If you're just /buying/ coins, bitinstant is not a bad solution. PLEASE note that despite the name, you don't need to buy whole bitcoins! You just need 0.04-ish.

@ceruleanspark Thanks again.

@lulu Any time. Message me if you need any help with anything.

@lulu It's all automated. All you need to deal with is withdrawing your bitcoins and converting them to fiat currency, but that's not very difficult these days.

@ceruleanspark I'm thinking 15% APR at most.

@lulu probably less though.
