    1. @snowcone Conservatives and liberals are both equally retarded. Moderation is where it's at.

    5. @snowcone My views, if put in a classic political classification, would be center-right. Were I in power conservatives would complain a bit, and liberals would complain a lot, since they basically boil down to "do as you please, but in private". Conservatives don't want people to do what they don't like. They'd be aware things are done, but they won't see them, so they won't be too annoyed. Liberals want everyone to do whatever they want, everywhere. They'd be really mad due to being forbidden from taking their sexual lives and such to the general public, even though they'd be able to engage in whatever depravity they feel like as long as they're inside their houses.

      1. @nerthos Well I mean liberals don't like encourage gays to have sex on park benches

        1. @mrmattimation But they want an excess of liberties nonetheless, to a point where it clashes with the people who belong to other currents of thought. Their idea is basically "throw away any and all societal norms concerning things like gender and sexuality" and many are also pretty heavy on the idea of removing things like guns from the hands of the general public, which angers other sectors of the population that like the idea of self defense. #

    7. @snowcone Moderate people would be pretty happy in regard to liberties.

Tuesday, 25-Feb-14 02:20:54 UTC from web
    8. @snowcone I wasn't talking specifically about that, but yeah, I'm against that. I'd rather institute a new type of civic union and change adoption laws than change marriage laws. In practice it'd give the same liberties, while it wouldn't anger people who are against it.

      1. @nerthos so you aren't against the concept itself, you're against the naming of the term?

Tuesday, 25-Feb-14 02:32:12 UTC from web
        1. @mrmattimation Pretty much. By creating a different tier, you allow gay couples to access the same benefits of marriage, whilst at the same time keeping the fairly big part of the population that considers marriage a tradition and thus shouldn't be touched happy.
