        2. @wolfboy Road safety - or a lack of it I guess - sort of strikes a personal chord with me. I don't really feel like going into it in detail but yeah

    2. @wolfboy I'm not sure I would trust bus passengers to use them properly (or at all) but that doesn't mean it wouldn't be a good idea (at least on school buses). However, if I recall correctly, and if things haven't changed, younger students can fit three to a seat, while older/more grown students sit two to a seat; that would be difficult to accommodate with seat belts.

    3. @wolfboy Maybe more of the things that drop down on roller coasters. I know a lot of kids wouldn't bother other wise so put though bad boys on there and have em drop down when the bus starts to go!

    4. @snowcone I imagine there's probably a budgetary concern in there. And efficiency. Not only would you need more buses, you'd need more fuel, moree drivers, more maintenance; they'd create more traffic, more pollution. But it's probably budget. American schools can't even afford books (too much money spent on FOOTBALL!!).

    5. @snowcone Sounds like my old high school. They spent tons of cash throwing smart boards into most of the classrooms while they were planning on bulldozing the building. But they didn't have enough textbooks and the ones they had were garbage.
