@nerthos Huh, I didn't know they had a tiff with Sega. I'll have to look into that. I'm sure the Borderlands series can pull in a decent amount of funds though.

@xeleanorxrigbyx Heard about Aliens: Colonial Marines? Sega sent a lot of money to Gearbox to make it, which Gearbox used for Borderlands 2.

@xeleanorxrigbyx There were some more credible articles, even some of them from the actual press (magazines about videogames and all that) but I'm really lazy to find them.

@nerthos Maybe. If they did it's pretty crappy but I've heard ten thousand theories as to why that game didn't go well.

@xeleanorxrigbyx Borderlands 2 was great at the start but it started to very seriously drag itself out at the end. Then they stuck all that DLC in. I hate to imagine what a trainwreck it is to play now.

@ceruleanspark Yeah. I just got past the point where you and thought it was the end. I forgot there's a whole bunch more stuff. I also currently don't have any of the DLC.

@xeleanorxrigbyx So much padding. There were whole areas they could have dropped from the game without impacting the plot OR the loot tables at all

@ceruleanspark True. I don't really mind sometimes though. Though there are certain areas I loathe with a passion. I'm looking at you, Caustic Caverns.

@ceruleanspark It was all nostalgia though. I enjoyed it for that factor. I don't know. I guess I'm in the minority in that I like doing ALL the quests. But I agree, it does drag at a point.

@ceruleanspark Too many or too few? I can't remember, it's been a bit. I know I hated the respawn rates in Lynchwood. 2 seconds after I clear out the area they're respawning.

@rancidrob I can imagine. Haven't soloed either one of those. Only Axton and Lillith. Tried a Roland solo but got bored.

@ceruleanspark Right. I like the phasewalk. Don't really care for the phaselock. Also tried Zer0 but didn't get far. Maybe I'll try again with a group.

@xeleanorxrigbyx His turret just can't be tweaked for the kind of damage output you require. Zer0 can minmax his way to some level of effectiveness, Maya has the all important slag-on-command of phaselock, and Sal remains the top tier character for mass murder, but Axton can't do anything.

@xeleanorxrigbyx You've got to always be moving and dodging. You can't just shoot.

@xeleanorxrigbyx The phaselock is the best solely for the fact you can immovilize any particularly bothersome enemy and headshot it with increased damage.

@nerthos That is handy. Guess you'd have to make sure everything else stays back though. I didn't get far with her. I may have to do yet another playthrough. I just need to playthrough with everyone.

@xeleanorxrigbyx I started with him. It's actually pretty uninspiring. It's just mechanical and tiring.

@northernnarwhal I know Gaige can be powerful if you play her right. From what I can tell that takes a fair bit of strategy and control of your reflexes to not reload.

@ceruleanspark I suppose he has his place on a team. I originally started out with him because I was so fond of Mordecai. And then I was sad and decided I needed a turret.

@xeleanorxrigbyx I only got far with her. To be honest I only get hooked when playing with the sirens. Generally, if you're properly geared, only one or two enemies at a time will be dangerous so the phaselock is enough. Also if you invest in the right skills it does splash effect damage, slags enemies, and you get blight phoenix. Everything stacked, enemies drop by the dozen.

@nerthos ooooooh. So much better the higher up you get? I wasn't impressed at lower levels.

@xeleanorxrigbyx Well that and the fact that Deathtrap is an absurd killing machine. It does take some getting used to but the damage output from Anarchy is so worth it in my opinion.

@northernnarwhal Doesn't your accuracy drop a ton though? I guess it doesn't matter if you can get one of those "fires as fast as you can pull the trigger" guns as you only have to land one shot to destroy.

@xeleanorxrigbyx Yep. At lower levels it relies mostly on gear and how good you are at aiming. I mostly went for a high damage per shot build since most enemies are easy to critical. The onyl drawback is that a little bit of lag on co-op can make you pretty useless.

@nerthos So maybe I'd have better luck solo. Guess it gives me something to do once I max level my Axton playthrough until the next game comes out.

@northernnarwhal Yeah, she's pretty crazy powerful if you know what you're doing. Just takes some adjusting. At some point I'll pick her up. Although she's $10 by herself. For real?

@xeleanorxrigbyx I mostly played solo due to how much a little lag can do. Then with the DLC I got the Rapier and a health leech relic and made a melee/sniper build.

@xeleanorxrigbyx Yeah, that seems wise. I seldom buy DLC anyway unless it's coming with the edition of the game I'm buying or if it's a special exception.
