@critialcloudkicker nope when the other team has the ball your goal is to stop them from moving the ball 10 yards down the field in 4 plays

@voxxxrebel So you are telling me that there are less than 10 meter between each line on the field ? Can you score more than 1 of those lines per "attack" ?

@critialcloudkicker nope the field is 100 yards long and you have 4 chances to more the ball 10 yards or the other team gets the ball where ever you fall short of that 10 yards. if you get it past the 10 yards you get another 1st down (bc the plays you get to move the ball are called downs (1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th down)) if you drop the ball and the other team picks it up or if you throw it and the other team catches it instead of you then they get the ball

@voxxxrebel So your team gets 4 tries to move the field up 1 line, and should they suceed in 1 grab, they get a bonus try. And if their tries are over the opponent gets the ball... Cool, I guess those are the most basics of the basics... Except for, what is a touchdown, and why do they only sometimes kick the ball through what looks like a tuning fork

@critialcloudkicker when the team gets the ball into the endzone they get 6 points, which is a touchdown, then after the touchdown they try to kick the ball through the goalposts for an extra point. They can either kick the extrapoint (also called a PAT (Point after touchdown)), or they can attempt a risky play to get 2 extra points where instead of kicking the ball they will try to do another play to get the ball 3 yards into the endzone.: They can only kick the ball on PATs and if its 4th down, and they dont think they can get another 1st down and they can try for a 3 point field goal. If they are out of tange for a field goal on 4th down they can either choose to punt the ball (what is usually done) down the field so the other team starts farther away from their endzone (which is where they need to get to score), or the can risk the other team starting close to scoring range and go for a first down by doing another play

@critialcloudkicker yup, its p much what youre supposed to do unless you want to risk it, but if you risk it and succeed going for it on 4th down its worth it a ton

@critialcloudkicker and a play ends when a player gets tackled and his knees touch the ground, or if they offense tries to throw the ball and it is an incomplete pass (no one catches it and it just hits the ground, which mean its kind of a useless play, the ball stays where it was last play and you use a down), or if a player runs out of bounds (then the ball will be where the player ran out of bounds at
