    1. @dashalicious I agree that a lot of people take Social Justice and Feminism too far, but people also have to realize that you can't let the bad eggs ruin the who basket. Nowadays, people use terms like "feminazi" and "Social Justice Warrior" as a way to diminish the two groups, and that just isn't fair to the people who are ACTUALLY fighting for equality.

      1. @rarity I think of Tumblr as the Social Justice League and every member is Aquaman.

        1. @colfax Aquaman is actually a cool hero though

        2. @colfax Aww, man. I was really trying to be one of those useless shoehorned-in kids.

    4. @northernnarwhal you say "modern feminism" like all feminists are in a club or something. In reality there are different organizations but they don't claim to represent the whole of feminists

      1. @rarity I agree with this here thing that you are saying.

Thursday, 17-Jul-14 03:23:48 UTC from web
    5. @northernnarwhal it only has negative connotations because of its use as a slur, but that's just my opinion.

      1. @rarity You can't see this so I don't know why I'm wasting my time, but whatever.

I personally don't like the term feminism because, if you're fighting for equality, why name your group after one single gender?

Now, that isn't to say that I disagree with feminist ideals. I fully support the ideals of (actual, non-Tumblr) feminism, Just not the name itself. You can say that's just me being nitpicky, but it is what it is.

    7. @northernnarwhal That sounds like my explanation when people call me a Brony

Thursday, 17-Jul-14 03:36:53 UTC from web
      1. @rarity It is much easier to say "I'm a fan of the show" because the term "Brony" has a lot of... baggage that comes with it. Although I'm not really even into the show anymore so it doesn't really matter to me anymore.

        1. @northernnarwhal I just say I'm in the fandom and that isn't that true that much

          1. @rarity I still have a "Brony" shirt from way back in 2011 and I'm not sure what to do with it now
