  1. So, I went to LA recently. In order, I…

    1) toured Sony Pictures Studios (saw a bunch of Oscars, went to the set of The Queen Latifah Show and Wheel of Fortune, went to a recording room, foley room, and ADR room);

    2) Had delicious food at Gloria's, a Mexican-Salvadorean restaurant (the look of the storefront is a lie, by the way) that got featured on Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives;

    3) visited the La Brea Tar Pits (man, they stink!);

    4) Visited Wanna Buy A Watch (a place that specializes in vintage watches and jewelry that just so happens to be where my mom got her wedding rings) so that my mom could get her ring fixed (then shipped back to where we live);

    5) Saw the Hollywood sign and visited Griffith Observatory (they have a small Tesla coil there)

    6) Went back to Gloria's;

    7) Visited LACMA; then finally…

    8) drove 3 hours back to our vacation house.

    All of this was separated over a couple of days, mind you.

      2. @thewaifutyphoon It's not necessarily mine, it's actually my grandmother's and she lets my family and I stay there for free.

    3. @twilisparkle45 If and when I end up visiting LA, the Hollywood sign is my first stop. Not because it's the Hollywood sign, but because Edd Gould's ashes are spread over there and I just find it necessary to pay some sort of a visit to my idol.
