I'm terrible
Thursday, 21-Aug-14 00:21:02 UTC from web-
@mastertdi Why do you say that?
-
@tenebarius Habit I guess.
-
@mastertdi Habit of being terrible?
-
@tenebarius I'm great at being terrible.
-
@mastertdi Terrible how, exactly?
-
@tenebarius I have no palpable skills which makes me hate myself and try to make my friends feel the same way as I do even though I know they deserve better
-
@mastertdi Do you make them feel that way because you want to relate to someone? Also, I'm sure you have skills, or at the very least you I'm sure you CAN gain skills.
-
@tenebarius I make them feel that way because when I'm sad I forget how to have decent conversations and just start spewing self-hate. Hey maybe that's a skill.
-
@mastertdi I really don't want to sound mean, but it sounds more like losing self control.
-
@tenebarius You can be mean. Give it to me
-
@mastertdi I know this feeling all too well
-
@northernnarwhal Up high
-
@mastertdi *misses*
-
@ellie Bluh bluh personal bias you're all great bluh
-
@mastertdi I'll be straight and give you my opinion, but I won't shame you if I can avoid doing so.
-
@tenebarius I have no shame
-
@mastertdi Good. Shame is bad, but regret isn't.
-
@tenebarius I have regrets to spare. Everything's coming up Tiffany
-
@mastertdi Tiffany?
-
@tenebarius I'm Tiffany
-
@mastertdi So, what do you regret? Or don't you want to talk about that?
-
@tenebarius And can you do anything about your regrets; are they things you've already done, or are they ongoing habits?
-
@tenebarius Pretty much every stupid, trivial thing I've done in my sixteen years keeps coming back to me, for one. The ones that matter I guess are the regrets that come from me not putting much into my existence and being ill-prepared for the scary yet inevitable future that is going to hit me sooner than I want to believe.
-
@mastertdi To be honest, those are the fears and regrets of almost everyone here, myself included. Now, I don't want to belittle your fears or regrets by saying that, but it is true.
-
@tenebarius Oh I know. Personal bias just makes me feel like a special case
-
@mastertdi Not to encourage laziness or agitate your fear, but even if you do crash and burn, there are still ways to come back from it.
-
@mastertdi And let me tell you, crashing and burning will teach your some ferocious lessons.
-
@tenebarius You*
-
@tenebarius Sounds beneficial
-
@mastertdi Though, hopefully things don't have to go that far.
-
@tenebarius We'll see
-
@mastertdi If you'd like, I can give you a list of the habits I'm going to try to help me get through this school semester.
-
@mastertdi Who knows, some of them might just help.
-
@tenebarius Sure, shoot
-
@mastertdi 1.) Get off of the computer. The computer is a huge waste of time and often creates bad habits. 2.) Create or find specific areas for fun, relaxation, and work. Keep them apart. 3.) Track your time. Use this to discover habits (negative and positive) and begin replacing your bad habits with good ones, and your good habits with better. 4.) Experiment with your work habits. Drop those that don't work. Try to replicate those that do. Remember that work should be 90% WORK and 10% FUN. All work and no fun/interest will likely cause you to become distracted. 5.) Take breaks. Not just from work, but also from play. Don't underestimate the power of relaxation. Also don't overestimate it and give yourself too much chill time.
