  1. @vt3c Hey, friend's buying a new PC and he just wants to know if an AMD A4-5300 TRINITY 3.4GHz dual core with Radeon HD 7480D graphics is an alright PC. He doesn't need a monster or anything so I think it should be fine, but I wanted to get a second opinion.

    1. @mrmattimation @vt3c More info: It's got 12GB RAM, 800GB Hard drive, and is only $300

      1. @mrmattimation @vt3c Looks fine and good enough ... to install # on it. ;)

        1. @quix0rquitter I have not nor will I ever want to install Linux on anything ever.

          1. @mrmattimation why? It runs perfectly smooth here and the hardware looks good so far that Linux will run on it. I heard # is easy to use

            1. @quix0rquitter As a tradigital animator, I have no use for Linux whatsoever. The Flash Professional authoring software does not run on Linux (along with the rest of Adobe's software), and the alternative I have tried that DOES run on Linux is horrible to use and make me want to cry. As for my friend, he just wants to play the occasional video game on his PC--something that he can't do on Linux, unless he just wants to play Team Fortress nonstop forever.

              1. @mrmattimation There are more games able to run on # and not just by #, e.g. # distributes Linux version. But well. :)

    2. @vt3c He's looking at pre-built. Thanks anyway.

    4. @vt3c It's faster than an E1 though, right? Pretty much anything is an upgrade at this point.

    5. @vt3c The reason he's looking for a new computer isn't so he can play all the latest games in 4K at ultra graphics. His current one just tries to kill itself every time he opens more than one tab in Safari.

    6. @vt3c Here's a funny thing, his old PC was a Pentium Dual Core. It was ten years old and it STILL ran better than his current PC.

    7. @vt3c Will he at least be able to play video games, like, at all? He doesn't mind turning the graphics down.

    8. @vt3c If he didn't have such an aversion to laptops, I'd just send him to the Toshiba website and tell give him my laptop's configuration so he could just order one himself.

    9. @vt3c ...actually, he could probably get a desktop with my specs but cheaper. Have you got anything, pre-built, in mind?

    10. @vt3c No idea. I asked him earlier but he never responded. The one he was looking at was around $300 but I'm sure he can go higher. Unlike me, he actually had a job during the summer.

    12. @vt3c Do whatever you feel like. He ended up turning down the A4 computer after I told him some reviews earlier in the day, so he's still looking.

    13. @vt3c I think I'll send him this one. Thanks again for your help, greatly appreciated.

    14. @vt3c Soooo, you like cars, right?

Today was my second time driving overall, but the first time I drove out on an actual road. I found out that I'm one of those drivers who inches forward in an attempt to trigger the stoplight. But I digress, it was a pretty exciting milestone mixed with an otherwise uneventful experience.

    15. @vt3c Had a cop been there I'm almost certain he'd have pulled my father and I over. I was going about 5 miles under the limit and merged with the grace of a drunken old man.
