    1. @mushi That sucks, I'm sorry to hear that. It seems like you're not in a very healthy living space.

        1. @mushi I guess I should give my parents credit for being able to actively avoid each other despite resenting each other

                1. @mushi I definitely feel that, at least in my home country, there should be more young people voting for what they want in their country.

                  1. @northernnarwhal That can be said of like most of the western world.

                    1. @awlditzy Yeah, I feel like voting should be made more accessible and it should be mandatory so parties don't sit pretty with the most seats in the house of commons but still have a minority government

Monday, 29-Sep-14 02:46:31 UTC from web
                      1. @northernnarwhal If elections participation become mandatory, then the next step will be telling you HOW to vote, and the problem with people en masse is they are stupid, and more than willing to follow.

Monday, 29-Sep-14 02:48:35 UTC from web
                        1. @awlditzy I see what you mean, mandatory voting means it's easier to manipulate the polls. But I guess the next step SHOULD be better implementing politics into the education system.

                          1. @northernnarwhal I agree with that, well-educated children on the subject of national politic could help them actually care.

                            1. @awlditzy At the very least, they would be making at least somewhat of an informed vote.

                      2. @northernnarwhal It '/is/ mandatory in Brazil, but it doesn't help much, as mushi already said.

                        1. @coutz It's not mandatory in Canada and it bothers me because the vote is non-representational.

                          1. @northernnarwhal It doesn't matter if the people don't think before voting, which is the brazilian case.

                            1. @coutz Yeah, and small time guys get crushed by the spoiler effect.

                  2. @northernnarwhal to be honest, the results of the last elections sort of nulified my faith in voting

Monday, 29-Sep-14 02:42:24 UTC from web
                    1. @mushi Overwhelming majority?

Monday, 29-Sep-14 02:43:59 UTC from web
                      1. @northernnarwhal nah, there simply isnt much point. They can all lie, omit, pretend and everything, and we will just know untill they are caught doing it. But just because a candidate has never been caught doing something bad it doesnt mean they have never done anything like this, and for what it for the last elections it seems is it only a matter of time to all of them

                        1. @mushi I guess with your country's government it's sort of slim pickings :/

                          1. @northernnarwhal yeah, i think i will just vot blank this time and see if anything makes me change my mind in the next 4 years. There is only a one candidate i trust, he is candidate for senator.

                            2. @mushi I would vote for Marina at the beginning just to see a different government, other than PT and PSDB, but her passiveness made me change my mind.

                              1. @coutz I did it 4 years ago. But i dont like candidates who base they polictical program in 4 tweets made by an religious extremist
