    1. @twilisparkle45 Well, obviously you have to use the LAMP server to turn on a couple of lights.

    3. @twilisparkle45 So why did you choose Mint for a server?

      1. @scriboos I was just mucking around with Mint for a little bit on a laptop. No other reason whatsoever.

    5. @vt3c @scriboos @redenchilada @caret7 @techdisk Good ideas, everyone. I would probably do something really cool, were it not for a few things: 1) I'm broke, so I can't pay for hosting 2) As with most of the Linux I muck around with, it wasn't on for very long before I had to turn it off 3) Even if I could keep reasonable uptime, my parents are REALLY stingy about me opening ports on our router (risk of hackers and all that jazz), so that would be possible only if everyone was at my house.

      1. @twilisparkle45 Well, why run a LAMP server and then not do anything web-related with it? :V

      2. @twilisparkle45 I mean, you could set up a copy of the RDN source on it if you felt like contributing to that, or something of the sort, but otherwise...
