  1. The Feds show up and confiscate a guy's computer. Upon questioning him about the porn on his hard drive, he responds "No, no, you don't understand. You see, they only LOOK like they're five years old. Emotionally they're about 11 and on a spiritual level they're 25.

    1. @zeldatra if you're talking about loli grapes technically they're ageless, but depending on where you live you could get arrested for "obscenity"

      1. @rarity That's stupid. The ageless part, I mean.

        1. @zeldatra Everything has an age.

        2. @zeldatra well obviously the things depicted aren't actually things that exist, so they can't have an age as we know it? since it's just art?

          1. @rarity I dunno, the whole thing makes me really squeamish. I feel like it encourages pedophilia or whatever, which is probably dumb coming from someone who tries to advocate a "do whatever you want as long as it's legal" mentality.

            1. @zeldatra Eh, only if you portray it that way.

            2. @zeldatra It probably doesn't encourage anything. But, your fears are well justified, the fear I mean. Now, depending on what you do about it...

            3. @zeldatra To be fair saying lolicon encourages pedophilia is like saying crime thrillers encourage murder

              1. @nethernarwhal Yeah, I know, which is why I feel bad about feeling this way, but I do.

                1. @zeldatra That's understandable. It's a touchy subject (no pun intended), and it's bound to make a lot of people uncomfortable.

            4. @zeldatra I have a real problem with stuff that's realistic, but IMO the traditional anime style doesn't even look remotely human so I don't think it's an issue. However yeah I agree, realistic stuff is pretty borderline (and probably that's the kind of stuff that would be more likely to get you arrested)

          2. @rarity True, but, then you can classify it as any age. And still be called correct in that assumption. Basically, it is impossible to know what age, but the age must exists, unless the universe depicted does not have anything that we know as age as we know it. There for, making it ok here, as it completely bypasses the law by eliminating age from all objcts and characters in the scene that can be used to then estimate the age of the subject.
