      @cryxminx Celestia is the supreme ruler of Equestria, so basically she IS a queen. But in things like Disney movies all the queens are like evil queens and wicked stepmothers n' dole, so they called her PRINCESS Celestia because it would appeal more to the target audience.

      @cryxminx I used to have this theory that their mother is a senile old mare who dodders around upstairs rooms in the castle. She'd be legally the Queen, but unwilling to abdicate, so Celestia would be a ruling princess.
