    I'm waiting for the end of my phone's data-usage period. It's above 90% spent (out of 4GB), so I can't use youtube on it. It was worth burning through all that data to watch ponies with my niece though.

          @redenchilada We have 0 unlimted data plans here in the UK, hell you struggle to get 3G half the time and they flumped the 4G service up

              @pony i live in the woods and i get 4G... though my phone doesnt support it. My parents phones do. Prepaid has terrible phone choices

              @pony : Most US data planned phones now come with a software update that removes their lower band abilities, meaning they can only get 3G and 4G, which in my eyes is a stupid as hell idea. @widget : I heard about that, that really does suck worth hell.. We are supposed to be getting unlimited plans in the near future and you are all losing them :( @redenchilada @lyrica : I can't get contract, it's pay as you go for me all the way which to be fair isn't that bad for me as I hardly use it other then £5 a month for a basic 250 MB data package, as I only use it to keep in touch with IM's and emails.

                  @pony It is indeed, which is why when @tavi comes over here she'll need to find someone that can reroot and reinstall her entire phone, or she'll need to buy a new one all together.

                          @pony No. You download an app and hold a couple phone buttons at bootup. Google Search can explain it better than me.

                      @pony I tried to root my HTC Wildfire, but all the rooting kits out there are 0.00001 out of date on the flash rom, so it's a no go.

                          @lyrica I build my own computers, I've not touched this one now since last year, the Mobo, CPU and HDD's are all near 3 years old now. Asus AM3 mobo, sporting a AMD Phenom II X4 Black Edition Quad Core @3.2 GHZ (Oc'd to 3.6) and last year I bought a Ati Radeon 6970 Sapphire Toxic (OC edition) and then December last year I fried my ram and so bought 16GB of DDR3 @1600MHZ. The last update was small and I needed a new Power Supply, that was trivial in Jan.

                              @lyrica Naahh, last Games Console I had was a PS3 which collected dust and I grew bored of the 360's. I find PC's much more handy and useful. Not to mention there's plenty of places out there I can get console only games for to play on my PC

            @lyrica hmm.. most cell phone plans are too expensive imo. I wouldn't even have a cell phone if my mother hadn't gifted it to me and weren't paying for my service. $25 for 1 GB is reasonable compared to what happens if I go over my limit. I think we get charged per kb or something crazy

      @widget my family uses Verizon. I guess $20 isn't so bad if you make good use of it. I thought it was worse for some reason. I think the monthly cost of data for our phones is $30-ish
