        @northernnarwhal But so many people were talking about it that I had to give it a look! And then it started off kind of mediocre, but showed promise of maybe getting better, and ended up actually getting worse, and now I just have to see how far it goes!

          @scribus Generally the people who dislike anime to begin with will watch a show like SAO because it's popular in order to see what the hubbub is. Following this, they'll be able to easily pinpoint a lot of the awful tropes of anime within it, therefore validating their vindication of anime despite becoming invested in what is essentially the Twilight of anime.
