@pony did you just fall asleep :o?
-
@pony So wait. Are you the one with a Twili tulpa?
-
@renovatedkitchen Fluttershy actually. :)
-
@derpyshy I wish I could... I'm on night shift right now.
-
@pony that's awesome. How is she? An question. Want to make sure it's not my imagination. When you look at your tulpa, you can't see through it, but you sorta to say know what's behind it?
-
@renovatedkitchen That's how it works. Think of the tulpa as a sort of "post-processing" effect. She's added after your eyes have already reported what's thare.
-
@pony okay :/ what are you working with?
-
@renovatedkitchen Ah well my tulpa isn't fully formed in that way. I feel little to no need for her to manifest to me visually so, while I imagine her with a Fluttershy's image in my head, I can't say what it would be like if she appeared to me. Sorry!
-
@pony Tulpa sounds do silly XD
-
@ceruleanspark good. I was working on a rainbow dash one for quite a while. Then finally started working on her physical appearances. Then one time I see her, but she was only there for a couple seconds. However after that, I couldn't figure out why sometimes her manes colour order is reversed. And lately I haven't been too mentally stable, so I'm on the verge of scrapping her. You have a tulpa?
-
@derpyshy I'm technically a 'mentor' for students with disabilities at a boys' boarding school, but because on night watch I interact with them only a tiny bit
-
@pony not a problem. Better to have a happy voice in your head than a negative one.
-
@derpyshy it's an odd word, "tulpa!"
-
@pony Oh. Disabilities like broken legs, and such, or autism, etc. ?
-
@pony what does it mean, exactly?
-
@renovatedkitchen Mysterious shrug.
-
@ceruleanspark A man of mystery, eh? If you ever do feel like sharing though, I'd be all ears.
-
@derpyshy sorry for the #latereply. They have learning disabilities specifically and/or asperger's They're great foals overall of course. Previous to this job I worked with severely mentally disabled ponies in group homes.
-
@pony Asbergers is a little bit similar to autism/ADD, isn't it?
-
@derpyshy yup. it's known as a high functioning form of autism though some like to differentiate it altogether from autism.
-
@pony Yup. My brother has autism + Downs syndrome, so my dad is a master of ADD, Autism, Asbergers, Downs syndrome, etc. And has read a lot if books :)
-
@derpyshy Not enough of a master to spell it properly apparently. Aspergers. With a P.
-
@ceruleanspark So THAT'S why autocorrect was acting so weird ..
-
@derpyshy It takes a good strong heart to love and raise such a unique child. The world needs more ponies like him!
-
@pony this is true.
-
@pony I know :) But after he stopped eating food with wheat/milk/glutano, (i think that's what it is in English) he's started communicating using his hands (driving, biking, finished, good, music, etc.), and also using speech. Not too long ago, he started making new sounds, and the next day, he started putting the sounds together to make more complicated sounds :) he's 11, by the way.
-
@derpyshy that's awesome! A raw food diet should help even more if you are interested.
-
@derpyshy Cool, and you're thinking of gluten.
-
@renovatedkitchen what do you mean by "raw"?
-
@derpyshy gluten, you're close enough! That's so cool! It's really encouraging to see that kind of progress! Despite my work experience, though, I don't know much about development.
-
@derpyshy oh wow! I didn't know that. That's also good to hear
-
@derpyshy Science crosses borders...
-
@pony I know ^_^ It's also very easy to teach him things now :) Like for example, i got a big plastic-bowl, and threw a tennis-ball into it, while he was watching. I gave him the ball, and said "Throw!". He immediately threw the ball into the bowl, and later, he started throwing the ball around the house XD
-
@sarramore Orangejuice.
-
@derpyshy Am I too easily confused?
-
@derpyshy raw food. There's lots of stuff. You would have to google it. Anything from different kinds of salads to pecan pie. All super healthy and known to clear diabetes as well.
-
@sarramore Yes, you are... -__
-
@derpyshy I'm bombarded by non sequiturs
-
@renovatedkitchen You must be related to my dad, somehow XD
-
@derpyshy that's a great sign! So cool!
-
@derpyshy lol. Maybe. I probably would love to have a friend with aspergers. Seeing as how I'm not social to begin with and love tech. He sounds like an amazing father. ^_^
-
@pony Yes indeed ^_^
-
@renovatedkitchen Also, I miiiiight have a minor case of aspergers too :3
-
@derpyshy Most people are somewhere on the spectrum for most conditions, they just don't meet people with "psych" in their title...
-
@sarramore :/ I don't see what you mean... #Norwegian...
-
@derpyshy I was referencing how everyone could be considered to have a condition, provided they meet a qualified person who can tell them they have a problem.
-
@sarramore Ah! Well, my dad is sorta a qualified person :/
-
@derpyshy Riight...
-
@sarramore <:3
-
@derpyshy You make less sense than anyone else I know(Not sure if compliment).
-
@sarramore thanks
-
@derpyshy I'm trying to think of something to draw...
-
@sarramore A pony?
-
@derpyshy I've gotten that far, now I need to think of a way to make it exiting and original
-
@sarramore hmm... try making the body-shapes a tiny bit altered, from what they usually are :)
