  1. In all seriousness I'm gonna start seeing 3D movies more often from now on. I had no idea how much better it was but it really is a whole hell of a lot better.

    1. @mrmattimation For me I find 3D in film to be sort of gimmicky a lot of the time, since generally it's just there to provide the audience with a sense of depth whereas that same feeling can be conveyed more subtly through effective and well done cinematography. So I guess I feel lots of films specifically structured around 3D tend to resort to practices that I consider to be bad filmmaking. With that being said, I do still think 3D technology has the capacity to improve films, just that more often than not my experience isn't improved by it.

      1. @northernnarwhal It might just be that Pixar is REALLY good at it. Inside Out just felt really... Natural.

        1. @mrmattimation It wouldn't surprise me, visually speaking from both a technical level and a cinematography level Pixar tend to be an absolute powerhouse. If there's anyone who could utilise 3D technology smartly and effectively it's them.

          1. @northernnarwhal Inside Out probably surpasses Toy Story 3 to be honest. It was that good.

              1. @scribus That's just my opinion and others might disagree but yeah, it was fantastic.

            2. @mrmattimation Damn, I really gotta check it out then. I loved Toy Story 3 (or really any of the Toy Story movies, it's usually the first series that comes to mind when I think of trilogies where all 3 films are really good)

              1. @northernnarwhal It was really creatively written. I could go on all day about how great the movie looked but the writing is some of the best I've seen from Pixar yet.

                1. @mrmattimation When I first read the concept I was apprehensive but seeing how positive the reception has been I'm eager to check the movie out now.

                  1. @northernnarwhal I genuinely wasn't that excited about the movie but I went and saw it anyway and I'm glad I did.
