    1. @nerthos Aw dang, going to have to get in on that.

      1. @awlelwa I'm interested on redguard and battlespire. The others I already have.

        1. @nerthos The only one I've played is Oblivion and that's piqued my interest somewhat anew.

          1. @awlelwa Try Morrowind, but do so with graphic and combat enhancing mods. The original combat mechanics were really bad. Skyrim is a bad second game to play if you want to enjoy the old ones as it's overly simplified. Daggerfall is the most extensive one, but the dungeons are endless and confusing. Arena I didn't get far into, but from what I've heard is even more confusing.

            1. @nerthos I was thinking Morrowind next as its setting seems to be the most interesting.

              1. @awlelwa Morrowind is in my opinion the most realized of all the Elder Scrolls games, its worldbuilding in particular is stellar

                1. @northernnarwhal Kind of the vibe I was getting from reviews and synopses and whatnot.

                  1. @awlelwa It's certainly a challenging game to get into, but I love how it's not at all a streamlined experienced. The progression of difficulty for your character is slow, grueling, and rewarding, when NPCs give you directions for quests they give you literal directions and not a quest marker, and its full to the brim with dungeons to explore without feeling overly spacious or saturated.

                    1. @northernnarwhal The exploration is what'll sell me the most out of everything else really. Challenge I don't mind as well as it's paced well enough.

                      1. @awlelwa Yeah, Morrowind works on a slow boil but if you're into high fantasy fiction at all then you'll be more than engaged enough to get really immersed into it.

              2. @awlelwa It's nice, and really interesting. Just keep in mind that your character will be absolutely horrible at combat until you raise a weapon skill to at least 80 or so.

            2. @nerthos Arena has like NO direction whatsoever. It's a very confusing game, even just to navigate.

              1. @mrmattimation I tried it once but couldn't figure out how to attack. It probably came with a big manual, but I didn't have that.

                1. @nerthos You, like, have to actually slash your mouse in the direction you want to slash your sword. It's very weird and very clumsy.

                  1. @mrmattimation Yeah, I figured that out later, as it uses the same method as dagerfall and morrowind. It was poorly explaned in game though, so I didn't get it the first time, and never again felt like playing.
